Even though there walls a whole Dimensionality factor involved, Summer would have actually have felt a little bad about spending Father's Day Weekend around Seattle and then not at least stop in to see her dad and grandpa (and, he'll, Morty, too, joining the line of terrible fathes in this household). She definitely wasn't dropping in until later in the afternoon, when the ringing from the concert started to finally drain from her skull, and she was spending most of her time on the couch and on her phone.

But, like, it was important, what she was typing out, in a mass text to whoever the multiverse wanted to deliver it to:

hey everyone!
Just do you know, I'm throwing a big
BIRTHDAY BEACH PARTY SUMMER SUMMER BASH!
On Friday (the 20th)

Drinks, food, music, maybe games, idk, but whatever, just show up and have fun!
Because it's almost summer and it's also mg birthday!

There. Now to text a few other people spd finally about stuff and continuing ignoring her family in real time so that she could at least say she was present, what more did they want?

[[ open for calls, texts, rando visits, whatever!]]

One of the things Summer loved about these tropical school trips is that the making jello shots from local products to really celebrate the place they were visiting during her Wednesday Room Party was sooooo freaking easy. And Barbados had some great options, so, after spending a day of setting it up and getting snacks and other drinks for everyone to enjoy, she was ready to open her door and invite people in for yet another successful room party!

Snacks were moddable and danced that line between typical party fare and local inspirations, and the same could be said for the beer, soda, and stuff for mixing drinks. The jello shots, though, were obviously the stars of the show: passion fruit and prosecco and passion fruit and rum (from yesterday's distillery tour, even!), mango and pineapple and coconut. Even some avocado and something spicy with some local scotch bonnet peppers, and some more with rum, one with root beer and one with ginger beer.

But that starfruit punch was probably her best worst idea ever.

Whatever, it was Wednesday on a school trip! The room was actually really great for this sort of thing, too! Come party it up and regret some decisions in the morning! It's fine, you've still got plenty of days of vacation recovery time left!

[[ flying OCD free, so come on in! texts, messages, and conversational invites may be modded at will~ ]]

On the one hand, having to move over to this janky-ass theme hotel after getting only just a taste of the luxury hotel she'd been planning to have this party in was a real kick in the teeth. But, on the other hand, this hotel definitely did make Summer feel like she was returning to the roots of the vibes of what a room party should be, making the most with what you had just to slip away from responsibilities to enjoy a few beers and some jello shots with either your fellow students or your fellow teachers. There was a charm to it, a certain humbleness, quaint, really...

...At least that's what she was telling herself.

She'd done small room parties before. Some hotels just didn't have the same space or amenities or cool features as others, and it was fine. There might need to be some spill over into the hallway, and the lines between students and teachers were getting so blurred anyway that it didn't really matter about keeping a bunch of kids out, because most of the kids these days were all nerds pretty quiet and chill anyway. But there was a problem with space of the room, and even that was handled by hiring Gladio and Amaya (it was good to have other characters friends with impressive....lifting capabilities!) to move the bed out of the room, into another one for the time being to give more floor space, and, really, with the bed removed? It wasn't too bad. Cozy. Intimate!

...At least that's what she was telling herself.

Of course, there were moddable snacks on a small table against one wall; beer and soda were chilling in the sink in the bathroom filled with ice, and, of course, there was a table with some liquor and even some local wines she was able to lock down along with the main feature, the infamous jello shots. The pride of the offerings was the ones she made with the Doritos booze Stark had gotten her, fancily dusted with a Doritos crumble, but there were also your expected space themed shots, including a space jello punchbowl. And, of course, she'd also taken inspiration from the island (wistfully, piningly) by securing a few local fruits and whatnot for a series of inspired shots there. You know, things like mai tais and pina colada and mojito, but, you know...more space fruit-y.

A part of her wondered if she should take inspiration from the Astrotorium, too, and that was how she wound up with cotton candy, cinnamon roll, and corn dogs.

When did she have the time and how did she get the resources to pull all those off? Don't ask, she had her ways. Just come in, enjoy the party, try not to bump into too many people in the limited space and or party in shifts, maybe? Either way, there was so much jello, there was some good tunes pumping through her portable speaker, and it was time for the traditional Wednesday Night School Trip Room Party!

[[ open party is open! And flying OCD free because I have had a week, y'all, and it's only Wednesday, and I cannot be bothered to ]]
somethingwithturquoise: (snake jazz)
There had been a handful of oh-so-handwavey flyers popped into the most obvious spots, but Summer was relying heavily on the age-old method of massive group texting (and general word of mouth) to let everyone know about Stark's birthday party tonight at his apartment because it really was just going to be a super chill, lowkey, casual sort of fling this time around.

She'd spent the majority of her prep work in splashing the apartment with decorations (blue and gold and black again) and bmaking a variety of different jello shots in pie and cupcake and other dessert-like forms, so, needless to say, she definitely ordered out for the the cupcakes themselves.

Other snacks and drinks were also available and moddable, and there was also a very moddable but totally curated, for real, music playlist, and she'd even dusted off the karaoke machine from the GxG birthday party years ago and dragged that up, just in case anyone was feeling up to getting that going.

Definitely not exactly her best, most extravagant party, but, hey, not all parties could (or even should!) be epic. Sometimes, they could just be kind of quiet and cozy with a lot of cupcakes. Which just suited the birthday guy better anyway, really.

[[ open party is open! as always, feel free to mod having gotten a text, seen a flier, been told by Summers or squirrels or ghosts of parties past or just swing by to borrow a cup of sugar, i don't care, I'm not your boss ]]
somethingwithturquoise: (boo yah!)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Queenstown, allegedly an adventure capital of the world, but it was Wednesday, so once everyone'd gotten their adventure on, it was obviously time to swing by Summer's room for her traditional School Trip Room Party, to get wasted on all sorts of moddable booze and jello shots and have at least a few regrets the next morning, if you were doing it right.

So there were snacks. There were beers. There was, okay, okay, even some wine because there were some snobs in the crowd she expected and also, she liked to keep it local and New Zealand did do some wines or whatever. There was a curated playlist, of course, and Rosa and Gladio were reprising their traditional roles as bouncers, although Summer wasn't entirely sure how that was going to play out now that the school was catering to an older, more party-aged demographic, but she supposed maybe that just meant they were to be arbiters of making sure nothing got weird? It was new territory! They'd figure it out!

But, most importantly of all, there was a wide variety of jello shots on display for the taking: kiwi two ways, layered with melon or straight up but served in kiwi cups; honey lemonade made with local mānuka honey, sweet potato cinnamon, chocolate covered cherry using Whittaker's Chocolates of course; and a variety of just basic flavors but adorably in the shape of sheep.

Look, the other option was a jello shot with actual lamb in it, so consider yourself mildly lucky.

So looks like now all she needed....was people to show up!

Sure,it was going to get pretty crowded in this room once they did, but honestly? That gave it the best classic room party vibes to have a bunch of people shoved into an otherwise cozy room.

[[ open for all trip-goers, of course! Faculty members got a special, handwaved mass-text invite, too! somethingwithturquoise: (glued to my phone)
Sooooooo....Annie's whole interdimensional time-travel briefcase thing was clearly going well.

Summer was not really that surprised, but it did kind of bum her out that, instead of having a post-break-up sangria night with her bestie last night, the only sangria she had was in the form of gorging herself on the rest of Stark's cupcakes (you know, the ones she had previously insisted should be shared in the spirit of sangria) after getting high and going between giggling over everything and crying over everything else, while sending more and more texts to Annie's phone that she knew she wouldn't receive. Well. She hadn't eaten all of Stark's cupcakes, there were still two left, which she was having right now for breakfast.

(Yes, breakfast, in the afternoon).

But it wasn't all just substance abuse and feeling sorry for herself! Summer was busy at her laptop, pouring over some ideas and making arrangements for the party on Monday, which was a frustrating challenge in its own right. Having up until very recently been dating a super-genius billionaire, she had certainly gotten used to a certain...lifestyle, i.e. literally endless funds for all her whims, and while Summer was definitely pulling in some respectable bank through her various jobs and channels, she was working with a much tighter budget than she was use to.

Although....she did still have access to Barry's credit cards. And as she eyed the final total on all of her ideal party supply purchases, she found herself in the midst of quite the moral quandary.

And then promptly typed in that familiar number that she knew by heart by now.

Which meant she wasn't surprised when her phone buzzed with an incoming message a few minutes later, but she couldn't help being a little annoyed, too, because, oh, sure, now all of a sudden, you're paying attention? Summer thought about ignoring it, but that only lasted about two-point-five seconds and she lifted up her phone to read it, bracing herself for a good old WTF, but what she found instead somehow made her feel worse.

Throwing a party?

yeah for purim. didn't u know? im jewish now.

Mazel tov!

Summer just sort of stared at her phone dully for a long time, not really sure how to respond, if she should respond, or if she should just do the one thing she really wanted to do in that moment, which was portal over to his lab and take it all back, but then she reminded herself that he wouldn't be making it to this party, either, but, hey, at least he was willing to foot the bill for it. She needed more than that, though, she could foot the damn bill herself, she'd only used his card just to see if she could get away with it, and she could, but it wasn't nearly as fulfilling or self-satisfying as the thought it would be, but maybe, just maybe, if they just talked about it some more...

Her thumbs had been poised over the first letters of her next response before another text came in, from some gym bro from Tinder she'd been chatting with, one whose muscles would be very impressive had not Summer lived on Fandom.

looking forward to seeing u tomorrow

Followed by a picture. The kind of picture that made Summer very glad she was at her apartment and not out in a public place. A picture that she was going to need to inspect very thoroughly before responding, a response that came much easier and much more quickly than the one she'd been struggling with when this one came in:

let's make it tonight actually

[[ open post is open! though work-related sp is to be expected ]]
somethingwithturquoise: (boo yah!)
Just because Summer wasn't behind the bar at Caritas this Wednesday didn't mean that there wouldn't be jello. In grand school trip tradition, since pretty much the dawn of time (or, at the very least, the dawn of Summer being a part of this school), she had spent the majority of her day getting ready for her big "room" party, although this time around, the term was being very loosely applied, because when you had a space like this, shoving a party into a bedroom on a technicality was practically a crime.

So after a morning of mixing jello and then portaling around to get other supplies (there may have been a detour over to Ethiopia, while she was at it, which she did not want to talk about, but boy, was it a good thing she had a party to focus on right now, the narrative could say at least that much!), she was now back to get things all set up and decorated with your standard fairy lights and something to softly, unobtrusively pump music into the air, with the jello shots and moddable snacks and other drinks all laid out not only on tables on the deck, but also awaiting in the water, as well.

Which could be dangerous, sure, but they had a nine foot tall shark man that could not get drunk as a lifeguard, they'd be fine!

And, of course, she'd dressed the part of a pool-side party goddess, and she'd tried her best to keep the jello shots in the spirit of the trip with local ingredients, and she had them all displayed with a nice little placard that she'd quick-printed:

Wednesday Room Party Jello Shots!

Mango Sticky Rice
'Sriracha' Pepper with Indonesian Sambal
Coffee with kopi luwak
Durian
Rambutan
Piña Colada with King coconut
Mangosteen Cosmopolitan
One-Day-Late Mardi Gras
Ash Wednesday

The Room Party is Open!

[[ Flying OCD free! Open to all faculty and their guests, who definitely would have received a text invitation at some point! Students will definitely have to try to get through the bouncers, though ]]
somethingwithturquoise: (drunk summer)
Ah, yes, what better way to follow up a day heavy on war stuff than a jello shot party in what was essentially a hotel room! But, look, the Wednesday night jello room parties were just a tradition at this point, and Summer practically centered the first half of her trips around making them happen, so she was going to be very disappointed if no one even bothered to show up.

She was going to have a very rough Thursday if she had to do all these jello shots by herself (minus the one or two she could convince Barry to choke down).

So the mass texts to everyone had been sent out, as well as texts to Annie and Rey to show off the jello shot spread and show off what they were missing (with an added text to Annie that went something along the lines of seriously, though, u good? do you need anything? everything cool?), and she just had to finish with the set up. There was some beer and sodas and whatever leftover liquor didn't go into the shots and wine (because France) and some moddable snacks, but, of course, most of the attention was in the jello shots, which included some apple cider ones featuring cider from the countryside and chocolate covered strawberries with chocolate from the local chocolatier. Pears made an appearance in the line up, as did pumpkin. Of course there was champagne, a chocolate eclair, and.....mac and cheese....but, you know, with fancy local cheeses, because that made it better.

Look, just because they were in France, didn't mean you were free from at least That One Shot.

So it was time to party! Chaperones only! Summer will pay Rosa good money to make sure students stay out.

(She would have roped Goose and Sidon into it, but she knew them both well enough to know that while they did cut impressive figures as bouncers, she was pretty sure they would just encourage just letting every one in).

[[ open room party is open! posted here to get the most party bang out of my party buck and general readability. No OCD. Have at it! ]]
somethingwithturquoise: (awesome and proud of it)
Well, after tonight, Summer could finally stop stressing out about Annie's Bachelorette Party and start stressing out about the Wedding Proper (although, really, this was Annie they were talking about, clearly things were taken care of and covered, but Summer felt it was her duty, as maid of honor, to flail at least a little bit extra, just in case). So that was nice! And in clear defiance of any accusations of dick-themed shenanigans or planets covered in nothing but either jello or boobs, she had a seriously Classy As Fuck evening planned for everyone, because Annie was a Classy Ass Lady and this was all about her, anyway.

Besides, Summer Smith, contrary to popular belief, did know how to read a room. Sometimes.

Which was why this particular party was not being kicked off in a strip club or night club or even just a bar....but at a quaint farm/apple orchard just north of Baltimore.

Bet you didn't have that one on your bingo card!

[[ aaaand obviously for the bachelorette partiers in attendance! OCD is prepared! NFB for distance, let's SP the mother out of this thing! ]]
somethingwithturquoise: (boo yah!)
Sooooo, Summer had met Chiana, and, just as the narrative suspected, it was indeed a great/terrible idea. One that had lead to a little impromptu mini party for jello shots and space pot, which made sense, especially since Summer was the only terrestrial human of the small group this had been planned around.

So, within a few minutes, thanks to Barry's shot maker machine, they had some jello shots--nothing fancy, of course, you couldn't do much with the machine, but at least Stark would be way more confident that none of them had anything too weird in them? They also had some raslek, to make Chiana feel more at home and since Summer had started stocking it at the store, not to mention her vast and impressive array of pot from various different dimensions and planets.

Which, if you asked her, meant that if the night ended up being anything but awesome, it certainly wouldn't be on her.

[[ expecting three aliens, but the post if open if anyone else wants to drop in for booze and recreational drug use (and there's your CW about that)! somethingwithturquoise: (arms up dancing)
It had taken a bit to get there, but the whirlwind of Summer's burst of party planning was finally coming to frution. There had been the flyers, of course, some good radio coverage, and the ubitquitously handwaved mass text, so hopefully people knew about it enough to show up. Especially since a lot of work had been put into making Goose's apartment party ready. For one thing, it actually had furniture, plenty of sofas and ottomans for the guests to sit, arranged to also allow for a lot of standing and gathering room (and, yes, yes, for all the wall flowers, a few meticulously curated shadowy corners, you're welcome. But most of the decor attention would probably be put into the magic work Summer had Margo and Eliot do.

With the faint scent of rose and mint in the air, the entire ceiling was cloaked in the vastness of outer space. But not just any space, because, in Summer's experience, space was actually kind of boring, so they pumped it up, they amped the colors, they filled it with a ton of glitter (of course). Distant planets and swirls of galaxies and pulsating quasars dotted the starscape in swatches of pink and purple and green, some glowing bright with neon. Shooting stars would occasionally trail overhead and across the walls, leaving behind a dusting of color and glitter and occasionally a message that called out "Happy Birthday, Goose!" with another message trailing behind it that read "(And Gladio, too!)". Occsionally, the starscape would seem to swell a little and expand, so that, on occasion, it would feel as though you weren't just looking at it, but almost being surrounded by space until it moved on.

The spare bedroom had been converted into a karaoke room, there was a jello table and a tended bar set up, with an ice luge embedded with neon lights, and a keg all dolled up to look like a container of Cup Noodle. And speaking of Cup Noodle, don't anyone forget Cup Noodle gift bags! There's plenty for everyone, at a table by the door, so you can help yourself to that excellent tote filled with some of the most random (and pretty moddable) chintzy Cup Noodle junk Summer could find on cheap Chinese websites (the real highlights, though, robably being the slippers and the candle).

The kitchen, of course, was dedicated to be the haven of Ignis, who staunchly refused to do anything Cup Noodle related for his food offerings, which, if you asked Summer, were a bit much for a party where she was hoping everyone would be quickly too drunk to care about what they were putting in their mouths, but, hey, you do you, Specs.

She'd even hired a bouncer, mostly for raccoons, but also for students, let's be real, and since she usually hired Gladio for that position, putting in Billy this time around seemed like the obvious choice, and she was even being very, very good about not just calling him Wish Gladio or Walmart Gladio or Budget Gladio tonight.

And, just like that, this party was ready to get started!

[[ please to wait for the OCD it up, have at it! ]]

somethingwithturquoise: (pleasing text)
Summer could, for all intents and purposes, have easly slapped together a party for Goose now that she knew his birthday was next week for this weekend, and she had the confidence that it would still be a complete and total banger, but if she had the opportunity to take a good solid week to put together something a little less rushed, she was going to take that opportunity, even if it meant toeing the line of too-belated if she wanted to tie it into Gladio's birthday, which had been last week. Honestly, she could probably take or leave the Gladio factor, if it weren't for the fact that she was already envisioning the most adorable little Cup NoodleTM gift bags that could not just wait until next year.

So, she decided (unless anything else popped off because, let's face it, it was the weekend, she was willing to drop anything at the first sign of something better) tonight might be a good night to do (one of) the thing(s) she did best, and that was to get blazed out of her mind and start hitting up Insta and Pinterest for inspiration and ideas.

It didn't take long in considering location to remember that Goose's apartment was basically an empty shell of a habitat and one of the larger two-bedroom ones (which, come on, so much wasted potential!), which opened the door to a lot of decor possibilities, actually. And with that first little thread to start pulling on, she picked up her phone and shot him a text:

How do you feel about me invading your place next weekend?

Like, yes, sure, he literally lived right upstairs and she supposed she could have just gone up there to ask him, but pffft. Who actually went and visited their neighbors when they could just text?

[[ guess who will be stuck at work tonight and would love to get visits from neighbors or texts or anything else to make it through? this gal! totes open, I am expecting a total slog ]]
somethingwithturquoise: (snake jazz)
So, the whole space part of Summer's plan for Annie's party didn't exactly pan out the way she was hoping. Part of her conversation with Lucifer on Wednesday had turned out to be somewhat prophetic, as one for her choices for location had conveniently decided to start a galactic civil war with their moon colonies, and the other place, apparently, didn't even exist anymore. The best guess was that it somehow involved Cromulans, which meant that planet was pretty much space dust now, which meant that Summer could pretty much kiss her deposit on that venue good-bye.

Which was fine! If she couldn't still pull together a more terrestrial party at the last minute, then she truly should just hang up her party crown now and retire in shame. So emails and texts went out, the gnomes at Portalocity would hopefully cooperate in sharing the news with anyone who showed up expecting to head elsewhere, that the party was relocated. And Summer was going to just use her own place for the cause, but, really, through the ensuing chain of events in preparation that morning, she remembered that Diego's apartment was pretty much literally right across the hall and easily twice as large.

So Diego's apartment it was!

Honestly, as boyfriend, it was literally the least he could do.

But because it was a little last minute and Summer didn't have the benefit of foisting at least half the cleaning duties on an NPC bartender like she could at Caritas, the decorations were a bit more...restrained. Oh, sure, there was still going to be glitter everywhere and every corner that Summer had access to was decked out in stars, but the mood was much different, trying to go for something a little more elegent in mood, with starlights draped out on the balcony, draped over doors, and projected over the walls and ceiling.

Look, if they couldn't make it out to space due to galactic conflict and super harsh critics with planet-exploding capabilities, they could at least try to bring the space to them.

[[ Please, please, please feel free to mod getting notifs on the big bash, apartment modded with gracious persmission, please wait for the OCD is up, party on, dudes ]]

Text messages had oh so handwavily gone out to all the chaperones on the trip that Summer's Jello Shot Room Party would be happening that Wednesday, of course, followed by an afterparty over at Karaoke Kan's Shibuya location. Because, at this point, a jello shot room party and some sort of afterparty was practically tradition. And to steal a phrase from another character: Tradition? Don't mess with it!

(That was totally how it went, right?)

Either way, through an series of complicated arrangements that allowed her to pull off her usual serving of shots, Summer (and Barry!) had put together a fine selection, and then she went to get the room prepared after spending some time around Tokyo (and, like, sort of chaperoning, too? Because that was what they were there for, right?), and wondering if the size of the room might actually work to their benefit in getting everyone ready to get out to the bar for some karaoke!

[[ and minor ocd incoming is up! Go forth and party! ]]
somethingwithturquoise: (intense texting)
Summer couldn't really remember if the bottles of Coke being distrubuted by the polar bears would actually stick around for longer than today, but she'd collected a few extra for tomorrow, just in case, and was going to try some new ideas for incorperating the cola into jello shots in the meantime. And when she wasn't working on that, she was crafting together a good mass text to send to everyone about the party on Friday.

Sure, she said she was going to invite the whole faculty thanks to having them already on hand for when she sent out school trip party invites, but she wasn't going to just stop there. She'd been put in charge of invitations, and so she was going to be in charge of invitations. Which meant sending out a mass text to everyone outside the student body whose number she could scrounge up.

Happy Holidays!
Before we all get SICK of Christmas cheer and can only say BAH HUMBUG to it all, party it up with a Holiday Party Extravaganza!
Friday, December 4th

There will be punch! Presents! Party games!
Ugly Sweaters Encouraged!
And an EXCLUSIVE seasonal jello shot DEBUT!

And, obviously, there were posters being printed up to be spread around town, too, just in case anyone just straight up disregarded the mass text as spam, and she would not blame them.

When her phone buzzed soon after that with a message, she was thrilled to see someone already responding, but it turned out that was not the case at all, and the message was actually coming from somewhere else entirely.

Cut for text conversation )

"I didn't!" Summer said to her phone, outloud, because that's how frustrated she was, and then she remembered to text it, too, but, after that, things on her grampa's side went quiet, as she was pretty sure he went to deal with whatever this monolith bullshit was that she knew she had nothing to do with but was now actually really curious about, and she considered...

...no. Nope. She had a party to help plan for and some jello experiments that would hopefully go better than other recent jello experiements performed by other people, and she reminded herself that it was healthier to just step away and not engage...

[[ yeah, like a mysterious monolith is going to show up randomly in the same place where this hyper-ridiculous sci-fi ship wound up for Thanksgiving and I'm not going to do anything with it?? Anyway, it's open! ]]
somethingwithturquoise: (red solo cup pleased)
You know, Summer was feeling pretty proud of herself, for not only throwing together a (totally responsible adult) room party, but also managing to make all the jello shots she wanted to and still making sure to eventually give herself the time to go and fulfil a long-held childhood dream of being a mermaid (sort of; ugh, mermaid!dimension Summer was, like, such a stupid lucky bitch!).

And she did not skimp on the shots, either. She had Under the Sea shots and Shark Attack shots, the classic and classy Sex on the Beach shot, Pina Colada, Ocean Margarita, Mango Cosmopolitan...

...needless to say, there were choices. And plenty of leftover booze from making them if anyone wanted to just skip the jello part. If Summer would let them, anyway.

So now all she needed was people to show up. Which she hoped they would. She was kind of trying not to think about if no one did. And not just because Amaya had already started lining up a few shots with a thoughtful, speculative look on her face as if trying to figure out the quickest way to down them in a race.

For both of their sakes, she hoped people showed up. Please, save these two from themselves.

[[ posted here to save the poor evening thread and posted early because I have to scuttle off to work. Open to all the ~adults~ of the group who would have received the invite, though I suppose students could definitely try to sneak in. No OCD, just come in, hang out, have jello! ]]
somethingwithturquoise: (scheming at phone)
That afternoon, before getting ready to go out again tonight and maybe considering doing some actual chaperoning (hey, it was still early in the week! She'll get to it eventually!), Summer was just going to shoot off a quick email/text so that everyone knew that there was something coming up tomorrow.

Or else she and Amaya were going to have a lot of jello shots between the two of them, which...actually wouldn't be too bad. But still!

PUB CRAWL PREGAME IN ROOM 304 TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY!)

Just because we're not on Fandom Island doesn't mean we can't have Wednesday Jello Shot Specials!

Swing by room 304 tomorrow night for a pre-game with jello and sundries before hitting the pub crawl!

Let me (Summer!) or Amaya (my intrepid roommate!) know if you have ???????s!! Hope to see you there!

It was, of course, followed by a significant amount of hearts, but, since this was sort of a professional thing (at least, these were mostly all her coworkers), she kept it to a decent minimum.

And now back to figuring out just what to wear when she went out tonight!

[[ and it's open for responses or anyone who wants to swing by! I'm kind of shocked I didn't think of this for her sooner! ]]
