There had been a handful of oh-so-handwavey flyers popped into the most obvious spots, but Summer was relying heavily on the age-old method of massive group texting (and general word of mouth) to let everyone know about Stark's birthday party tonight at his apartment because it really was just going to be a super chill, lowkey, casual sort of fling this time around.

She'd spent the majority of her prep work in splashing the apartment with decorations (blue and gold and black again) and bmaking a variety of different jello shots in pie and cupcake and other dessert-like forms, so, needless to say, she definitely ordered out for the the cupcakes themselves.

Other snacks and drinks were also available and moddable, and there was also a very moddable but totally curated, for real, music playlist, and she'd even dusted off the karaoke machine from the GxG birthday party years ago and dragged that up, just in case anyone was feeling up to getting that going.

Definitely not exactly her best, most extravagant party, but, hey, not all parties could (or even should!) be epic. Sometimes, they could just be kind of quiet and cozy with a lot of cupcakes. Which just suited the birthday guy better anyway, really.

“Ms. Ingram,” Watts said, with a nod. “I’m doing well- and am I to understand congratulations are in order?”

"Congratulations?" Nell said curiously.

“Did I hear incorrectly, then?” Watts asked. “Are you and Mr. Amicitia not moving in together?”

"Oh!" Nell said, blushing a little. "Oh that, yes. Yes, he is moving in. I didn't know that would be cause for congratulations, but I'm certainly very happy about it, at thank you."

"It's- an important step in a relationship, is it not?" Watts checked. "Not- I know it is something people in this time are much more casual about. But back- in Toronto. Such a move would only take place after marriage."

Or, you know, much more rarely between two confirmed bachelors or the like.

Regardless, moving in or not he didn't think she was exactly chomping at the proverbial bit to be married again.

"Very important," Nell agreed. "And while I understand many people are casual about it, it's certainly not casual to me."

She shifted a little uncomfortably. "If I was back home... Well, as a widder woman in the church I could take up with any man I wanted as long as my father approved. And living outside the church as I do, they wouldn't even require me to do that, so church-wise I'm fine. But it's important to me to be sure before I do anything like this. And I am."

And no, marriage was not something she was eager for in any way.

"Well," Watts said. "I'm pleased you've found a fellow you can take such a step with. I certainly don't know Mr. Amicitia well, but he seems to be a good sort."

"He is, indeed," Nell said fondly. "And I'm rather pleased myself."
