Well, after tonight, Summer could finally stop stressing out about Annie's Bachelorette Party and start stressing out about the Wedding Proper (although, really, this was Annie they were talking about, clearly things were taken care of and covered, but Summer felt it was her duty, as maid of honor, to flail at least a little bit extra, just in case). So that was nice! And in clear defiance of any accusations of dick-themed shenanigans or planets covered in nothing but either jello or boobs, she had a seriously Classy As Fuck evening planned for everyone, because Annie was a Classy Ass Lady and this was all about her, anyway.

Besides, Summer Smith, contrary to popular belief, did know how to read a room. Sometimes.

Which was why this particular party was not being kicked off in a strip club or night club or even just a bar....but at a quaint farm/apple orchard just north of Baltimore.

"Oh," said Summer. "I can think of tons of ways, but I am absolutely not speaking them outloud, because then they will probably happen. I try not to be superstitious or anything, but I do not have a good track record with wedding stuff, I am not taking any chances."

"Good call. We're going to have a fun time," Rey said firmly. "Simple as that,"

Summer couldn't help grin at the fact that that sounded like quite possibly the most serious promise to have fun she'd ever heard, and she appreciated it. "Better enjoy it now, too," she added, that grin turning a little more into a smirk, "because tomorrow I'm dragging you back out for that dress, finally."

"I'm really cutting it close," Rey winced.

WHERE WAS TIME GOING.

"Rey," Summer said with an assuring nod. "I was literally putting the last minute touches on all of this practically yesterday. You've still got two weeks, you're doing fiiiine."

Seriously, though, if the passage of time could kind of a take a chill pill for a few moments, that would be great. Like, wedding? In two weeks from now? How?

"I know. But still." Also she was kind of mad at herself/life for just not being able go about stuff like this normally lately, but that was pretty heavy for a bachelorette party. "And thank you. After a while everything looks alike."

"I get that," Summer allowed with a nod, "especially when you're working with something as straightforward as black on top of not really knowing what you're looking for. But we will find it, and you will look amazing."

And that did sound vaguely threatening. Not at, like, Rey or anything, but maybe the dress gods?

"I will do my best?" Rey said, just in case that wasn't directed at the dress gods.

"Oh, you're going to do great, sweetie," Summer assured her.

Mostly be because she was pretty sure she could, at this point, shove any reasonable dress at Rey and she'd be amicable about trying it on, and then she could just start working some magic from there.
