Annie's Bachelorette Party! - Parts around Baltimore, Late Friday Afternoon into Evening [09/30].

Well, after tonight, Summer could finally stop stressing out about Annie's Bachelorette Party and start stressing out about the Wedding Proper (although, really, this was Annie they were talking about, clearly things were taken care of and covered, but Summer felt it was her duty, as maid of honor, to flail at least a little bit extra, just in case). So that was nice! And in clear defiance of any accusations of dick-themed shenanigans or planets covered in nothing but either jello or boobs, she had a seriously Classy As Fuck evening planned for everyone, because Annie was a Classy Ass Lady and this was all about her, anyway.

Besides, Summer Smith, contrary to popular belief, did know how to read a room. Sometimes.

Which was why this particular party was not being kicked off in a strip club or night club or even just a bar....but at a quaint farm/apple orchard just north of Baltimore.

Bet you didn't have that one on your bingo card!

Weber's Peachberry Farm is so quintessentially wholesome autumn cider mill fun that the last thing they expected to have descended upon it is a multidimensional bachelorette party full of ladies with cool powers....and Summer. But that's what they're getting! There's a little bit of time before the main reason Summer has brought them all here is ready to kick off, so, after she'd bestowed everyone with an appropriate sash denoting their purpose here (and a truly awful amazing hat for the woman of the hour), you'll have some time to enjoy maybe some cider or donuts or just, as the title says 'do cute farm shit.'

And, eventually, with the cute farm shit out of the way, as the afternoon makes its way toward evening, the party's chariot has arrived. Summer's arranged to have them all take their booze with them on a hayride through the farm and the countryside for their pregame and gifts or whatever else, where they can just sort of sit back in the back of a totally decked out wagon, strung up with lights and soft flannel blankets (and, okay, okay, some dick-shaped confetti, something penis-shaped had to make an appearance somewhere, as a rule), to just chill, drink champagne, enjoy some jello shots. And, as the evening starts to fall and the bottles start getting emptier, the apple trees along their path also light up with strings of lights to really set the mood a little more.

And, of course, there's a theme in Summer's return to some of her favorite Annie-inspired jello shots, from your classic champagne and lemon drops, to some nice mimosas and a bit of gold, too. A little pieto go with the theme, and a little tribute to the groom as well.

And, just for the hell of it, some fried tequila shots, because how could she not?

After the hayride, things are going to get a little more traditional bachelorette party with the arrival of a limousine to whisk them all back into the city (of course), with more champagne and a few more jello shots and to Mobtown Ballroom, because being drunk in a bar for a bachelorette party was a must, but this bar was a little higher on the classier side and involved them all getting a sort of casual lesson on some swing dance moves while they were here, in preparation to really be able to tear it up on the dance floor at the actual wedding, and also it just sounded like a lot of fun anyway and way less gross than any nightclub they'd otherwise hit up.

Because who knows where the party might go after the dancing! It may probably just go right back to the island, but the night is definitely open for wherever things may lead in an open-ended Additional OCD thread.

"Oh my God, Summer." Annie was in love with her hat, you guys. And her sash, too, but also look at this hat. "Okay, already this is already amazing."

And she hadn't even had a donut yet. She'd been too busy delighting in her sash that told everyone she was getting hitched. Like.

LIKE.

She really had expected more dicks! In, honestly, kind of a bad way! Like, she'd been bracing for various anatomy in her face all week. This was...actually adorable? Which just went to show you that she needed to have more faith in her maid of honor, here, honestly.

If you all did not think Kimiko was going to take several photos of herself in a sash, when she had never worn a sash before...well. That was okay. Most of you were just getting to know her.

But Kimiko had also, straight-up, never been to a farm at all before, so she was also maybe mildly distracted by the apples and the donuts and the sunflowers and maybe those were some kind of giant noisy bird over there and this was a lot.

But in, like, the best way. But clearly also a lot.

That was Maid of Dishonor, thank you, which, despite quite possibly the multiverse's most wholesome bachelorette party ever, was a titled she felt she'd earned.

And having Annie this pleased with it before they'd even really done anything? Like, all the relief ever, and Summer was just going to take a moment to preen a little over having fucking nailed it, once again.

"This poor farm isn't even going to know what hit it."

Except that, you know, it would. Because she'd called ahead and warned/arranged everything, so...

"Like, happy bachelorette party or whatever."

That level of distraction and fascination was practically palpable, and so Summer definitely didn't want to distract Kimiko too much from soaking it all in, but, at one point, she would shoot her a text.

Okay, this was insanely cute, and way more than Allison ever did for either of her bachelorette parties. She was glad she got to join in this special kind of madness.

She picked the sash that said booty dancer, and was super grateful she didn't have to wear a hat.

Summer had to admit, she was a little less impressed with the other sashes, especially with the group they'd have, but it was a sacrifice she'd been willing to make because 'Maid of Dishonor' was too good to really pass up. So she nodded with approval when she saw which Allison had taken up.

"Good choice," she said, and lifted a cider donut in a toast. "And good to see you again. How've you been?"

Kimiko, who was sort of idly lingering by where she thought she might be able to see a giant bird (they were turkeys, but you could not expect her to know that), perked right up when the text came through and smiled over at Summer.

Annie had taught her about capslock and emphasis not too long ago.

"I wasn't expecting this," Annie admitted, clearly pleased as punch to be surprised. "Like. Summer."

It was too early to get too emotional and maudlin (wait for the hayride and those jello shots, though), but Annie still was clearly touched. "I don't know why I didn't expect that you'd come through with my bachelorette party."

Not a bachelorette for Summer, or a kind of nondescript whoo-girl bar-hopping situation (which, admittedly, Annie would have also loved.) But a party that was clearly designed with her in mind, and like...you were getting a hug, Summer.

Mind the hat.

Oh, Summer planned to be minding that hat all night, not even just for hugs, but just because if it just so happened to tumble off of Annie's head and get lost somewhere along the lines, it would be tragic.

But she was definitely taking that hug and squeezing Annie back before letting out a snort.

"Please. Like I was ever going to let my best friend have some boring-ass, run-of-the-mill, carbon-copy, cookie-cutter bachelorette party? This is to commemorate the passing of single, unbound, unfettered Miss Rebecca Anne January; we've got to make it memorable."

Like, please stop being the most adorable thing ever, Kimiko, that temptation for Summer to just put you right in her pocket was only growing exponentially right now.

"I mean, it's true, I am single for only two more weeks," Annie noted, beaming as she pulled back and -- it was so fun to even note it -- held onto her hat. "That's what this is all about, right? I've got a measly fourteen days before I'm a missus."

Let's all just ignore that Annie hadn't been single, in any sense of the word, for about two years now. Okay? This was, like, about the officialness of it.

"Good, I've been...good." Just, you know, sharing a house with 3 of her brothers, wondering when anyone was going to do anything to get them back to their own timeline.

After the wedding. Apparently.

"You really went all out on this," Allison said. "The farm stuff is very...Annie."

She meant that in the best way possible.

Yeah, that was probably a big part of why the whole messy bitch stripper route just did not seem like a good fit, really, because it was hard to even imagine a non-attached Annie at this point.

But laid out like that, Summer could only grin and lift her brows and ask, "So, how does that feel?"

And, depending on the answer, it still wasn't too late to reroute the party! But, somehow, Summer didn't feel it would be necessary.

Look, when there was a wedding in the horizon, sometimes it was just best to sort of put other things on pause, because, especially in Summer's experience, weddings were pretty much prime time for terrible shit to happen. And moving a bunch of Hargreeves into the proper timeline beforehand just seemed like an open door to all sorts of nonsense.

Summer smiled contentedly at that assessment, with a nod and a proud look around. "It really is," she said. "I mean, obviously, if I really wanted to nail it on the Annie head, I'd have had to go a bit more....MidWestern Corn Maze than East Coast Apple Orchard, but I really didn't want to portal that far, and this way, I feel, it's almost, like, a celebration of her new life going forward which is decidedly New Englander now."

Summer, it was not that deep, you just wanted to do cute farm shit, but okay.

"It's very unique," Allison said. "My first bachelorette was very run of the mill."

You know, for a movie star.

"And my other wedding was in 1963, so, kind of low key. Not a booty sash to be seen."

Rey was still looking real unsure about the sash. But there were donuts, so that pretty much made up for it.

Honestly she was kind of digging the farm thing in general.

And that was another reason Summer was hoping that going off the expected path was a smart move, because she was pretty sure Rey would have been miserable on the expected path.

Well, maybe not miserable; she would probably do her best to go along with it and be supportive, but it would not be a good time for her, overall, probably.

"I think," Summer declared, proudly, even though a part of her was screaming at her not to jinx it, "we're off to a good start."

Holy hell, that was a wide variety of jello shots. Allison picked up a lemon drop since that was a classic, and also went with the black one out of loyalty to Diego.

She had to pace herself if she was going to last all night.

"What a shame," said Summer, shaking her head with a disapproving tsk at 1963, although, if she were having this in 1963, she would so do some sort of horrific jello mold Tupperware party nightmare theme, ohmygod.

"I didn't really have a bachelorette party for my wedding," she offered, "unless you count, like, a pre-emptive raid on our enemies the night before," which honestly? Now that she thought about it? Was definitely kind of a cute take on the whole combined party aspect, "but that whole thing was kind of spur of the moment, anyway."

"I mean, raiding your enemies does sound fun?" If Allison ever had a third wedding (she wouldn't), she might consider doing that. She had built up a lot more enemies since then considering the Commission, the US government, and all those racists in the 60's...
