Text messages had ~~oh so handwavily~~ gone out to all the chaperones on the trip that Summer's Jello Shot Room Party would be happening that Wednesday, of course, followed by an afterparty over at Karaoke Kan's Shibuya location. Because, at this point, a jello shot room party and some sort of afterparty was practically tradition. And to steal a phrase from another character: Tradition? Don't mess with it!

(That was totally how it went, right?)

Either way, through an series of complicated arrangements that allowed her to pull off her usual serving of shots, Summer (and Barry!) had put together a fine selection, and then she went to get the room prepared after spending some time around Tokyo (and, like, sort of chaperoning, too? Because that was what they were there for, right?), and wondering if the size of the room might actually work to their benefit in getting everyone ready to get out to the bar for some karaoke!

"Noooooot really?" Summer shrugged. "Except this. This is really the only thing I plan for, and then I just kind of see where the trip takes me. I feel like anything can happen on these things, so it's probably best to keep things open, y'know?"

"I suppose that is true," Lucille said. "I do wish Tisarwat would have been able to come with us though. I think she would have enjoyed it."

"Oh, man," Summer agreed, shaking her head. "She really would have. Can you imagine her around all this tea? And booze? Ohmygod. I saw some gloves when I was over in Harajuki she would have died for."

There was a small pause, and a shrug.

"I guess there's nothing really preventing us from coming back some time and dragging her with us, though." Then her nose wrinkled with a smirk. "It'll be fun rubbing it in her face a little bit when we get back first, though."

"I have bought gloves for her," Lucille said.

Two pairs, in fact, and one pair for herself.

"I think after telling her about the trip she will insist we go together."

Whether the 'we' should include Summer or not she wasn't sure.

Summer herself felt that that we was a little...ambiguous. Which almost made her wonder about steering the conversation into a little bit of diving (the two of them were living together now!).

"Yeah," Summer agreed, "I'll bet after a week of the island being probably dead with how few people are there, she'd be itching for something fun like that."

"We should make plans for a trip together," Lucille said. "I wish she could show me her home though."

Basnaaiad would probably be safe from poisoning.

"Yeaaaahhh," Summer said slowly, "it sounds like her captain is being a real hard-ass about them being here, so I'm not sure how likely that is, but I should mention that I have direct access to it, and it's a pretty big universe, I bet we could pop in there and Breq wouldn't even notice, depending on where we wound up."

She wasn't sure, though, if Tisarwat would be open to something like that. She definitely doubted Seivarden would be...

Seivarden would not be, although Lucille knew nothing about that, of course.

"So there is a possibility?"
