Room 312: Naya Shard Hotel - Wednesday Evening - Summer's School Trip Room Party.
On the one hand, having to move over to this janky-ass theme hotel after getting only just a taste of the luxury hotel she'd been planning to have this party in was a real kick in the teeth. But, on the other hand, this hotel definitely did make Summer feel like she was returning to the roots of the vibes of what a room party should be, making the most with what you had just to slip away from responsibilities to enjoy a few beers and some jello shots with either your fellow students or your fellow teachers. There was a charm to it, a certain humbleness, quaint, really...
...At least that's what she was telling herself.
She'd done small room parties before. Some hotels just didn't have the same space or amenities or cool features as others, and it was fine. There might need to be some spill over into the hallway, and the lines between students and teachers were getting so blurred anyway that it didn't really matter about keeping a bunch of kids out, because most of the kids these days were allnerds pretty quiet and chill anyway. But there was a problem with space of the room, and even that was handled by hiring Gladio and Amaya (it was good to have other characters friends with impressive....lifting capabilities!) to move the bed out of the room, into another one for the time being to give more floor space, and, really, with the bed removed? It wasn't too bad. Cozy. Intimate!
...At least that's what she was telling herself.
Of course, there were moddable snacks on a small table against one wall; beer and soda were chilling in the sink in the bathroom filled with ice, and, of course, there was a table with some liquor and even some local wines she was able to lock down along with the main feature, the infamous jello shots. The pride of the offerings was the ones she made with the Doritos booze Stark had gotten her, fancily dusted with a Doritos crumble, but there were also your expected space themed shots, including a space jello punchbowl. And, of course, she'd also taken inspiration from the island (wistfully, piningly) by securing a few local fruits and whatnot for a series of inspired shots there. You know, things like mai tais and pina colada and mojito, but, you know...more space fruit-y.
A part of her wondered if she should take inspiration from the Astrotorium, too, and that was how she wound up with cotton candy, cinnamon roll, and corn dogs.
When did she have the time and how did she get the resources to pull all those off? Don't ask, she had her ways. Just come in, enjoy the party, try not to bump into too many people in the limited space and or party in shifts, maybe? Either way, there was so much jello, there was some good tunes pumping through her portable speaker, and it was time for the traditional Wednesday Night School Trip Room Party!

Unless he'd been uninvited for some reason but that was extremely unlikely.
"Corn dogs?" He asked as he looked at the offerings. "And you used the Doritos booze!"
no subject
Yes, she was looking at you, Yukari.
Then she smiled over at Stark and gave the room a happy little appraising look. "Not what I had in mind at the beginning of the trip," she admitted, "but I think I did a pretty good job."
Of course she knew that Stark would agree with her no matter what, probably, but it wouldn't hurt to have that little extra boost of ego over it, either.

"You did a very good job."
It would have been so much nicer in the other hotel but alas that was not to be.
"I look forward to trying everything I can."
If he was going to get super drunk for some reason he might as well do it in his own room, right?

Of course, there was the whole lack-of-bed-currently issue, but Summer knew for a fact that Stark didn't mind sleeping on the floor.
"Are you going to try the Doritos one first?" she asked. Importantly. Hopefully.

"Of course I am," he said as he reached for one of them. "I have to know how it tastes in jello. What should I try after this one?"

Stark swallowed the Doritos shot, licking some stray Dorito dust off his fingers and lips.
"That isn't bad, really. Just a little odd. Candy next, then...something else. Maybe one of the space ones."

No, she would not drop it.
Yes, she realized that this was an incredibly biased and compromised source.

He was perfectly fine with being labeled one of the island's 'space people' too.
"Sometimes your jello tastes offensive but no. I don't. Does someone else?"

Wasn't it always Anakin?

He didn't want to be a boomer. It sounded terrible.
"Who else is from space, here?" Yes, he was looking around the crowded room trying to figure it out.
no subject
"No, Stark," she then assured him. "You are not a boomer. But if you start complaining about me being on my phone too much or yelling at clouds, we might have some issues.
"And if you define 'space people' as 'from a culture where interplanetary travel is common place,'" she said, taking a look around, "yeah, there aren't many of us here tonight so far."
Yes, she included herself. She fit that definition, dammit!

Time for some meme education for your very good friend, Summer?
"You're right. Not many space people. There aren't as many on the island as there used to be, either. There's...Atton?"
He was grumpy enough. Were boomers grumpy?
