Room 312: Naya Shard Hotel - Wednesday Evening - Summer's School Trip Room Party.
On the one hand, having to move over to this janky-ass theme hotel after getting only just a taste of the luxury hotel she'd been planning to have this party in was a real kick in the teeth. But, on the other hand, this hotel definitely did make Summer feel like she was returning to the roots of the vibes of what a room party should be, making the most with what you had just to slip away from responsibilities to enjoy a few beers and some jello shots with either your fellow students or your fellow teachers. There was a charm to it, a certain humbleness, quaint, really...
...At least that's what she was telling herself.
She'd done small room parties before. Some hotels just didn't have the same space or amenities or cool features as others, and it was fine. There might need to be some spill over into the hallway, and the lines between students and teachers were getting so blurred anyway that it didn't really matter about keeping a bunch of kids out, because most of the kids these days were allnerds pretty quiet and chill anyway. But there was a problem with space of the room, and even that was handled by hiring Gladio and Amaya (it was good to have other characters friends with impressive....lifting capabilities!) to move the bed out of the room, into another one for the time being to give more floor space, and, really, with the bed removed? It wasn't too bad. Cozy. Intimate!
...At least that's what she was telling herself.
Of course, there were moddable snacks on a small table against one wall; beer and soda were chilling in the sink in the bathroom filled with ice, and, of course, there was a table with some liquor and even some local wines she was able to lock down along with the main feature, the infamous jello shots. The pride of the offerings was the ones she made with the Doritos booze Stark had gotten her, fancily dusted with a Doritos crumble, but there were also your expected space themed shots, including a space jello punchbowl. And, of course, she'd also taken inspiration from the island (wistfully, piningly) by securing a few local fruits and whatnot for a series of inspired shots there. You know, things like mai tais and pina colada and mojito, but, you know...more space fruit-y.
A part of her wondered if she should take inspiration from the Astrotorium, too, and that was how she wound up with cotton candy, cinnamon roll, and corn dogs.
When did she have the time and how did she get the resources to pull all those off? Don't ask, she had her ways. Just come in, enjoy the party, try not to bump into too many people in the limited space and or party in shifts, maybe? Either way, there was so much jello, there was some good tunes pumping through her portable speaker, and it was time for the traditional Wednesday Night School Trip Room Party!

Starting the revelation with Coruscant's got no taste really only cemented it.
Even if it was true.

"Thanks," he said, "And now I feel like I should go roll around in the mud near a dingy bar somewhere, just to get the Alderaani off of me again."

"Okay," she amended, "four steps into the park, then."
Like, you have seen the place, right, Atton?

There was an allowing pause.
"I mean," she said, "I guess not all of it's bad, but you've gotta admit, it all feels pretty icky, right?"
Now she was squinting at him.
"Are you sure you're from Alderaan?"

He squinted. "... But I also only left our old hotel last night to get to the new hotel," he admitted, "and I haven't been outside much since. I, uh." He cleared his throat. "...Hadn't been getting much sleep."

God, why were Jedi actually, like, really terrible at that sort of thing?
"Well," she said, "how about you check it out a little more thoroughly tomorrow and let me know what you think then, but also, like, super fair point about Nar Shaddaa."
She was half-worried he'd pull New York up as an excuse, which, you know, only went so far.
"Please tell me,though, that you haven't been sleeping much for, like, awesome party and/or band reasons and not, like, space trauma reasons."
And, she would like to point out, the space modifier did serve a purpose here!

And look, the throat clearing was because he'd tried the distraction, realized he didn't actually want to distract away from it in front of Summer anymore because he was working on that and he was making progress, decided to fess up, and now they were at the fessing up part and he had had to make clear that he was fessing up because otherwise what was the point?
Really, what was the point?
"A little bit of A, a little bit of B?" he tried. "I was up late before coming here doing awesome band stuff, but I may... have been squeezing in a little nightmare avoidance."

"Well at least there's some of Column A in there," she allowed. "And at least you did get some sleep, too. At least enough to come to my party, because obviously," her chin lifted loftily, with an important flick of her ponytail, "that's what really matters."
She nodded, and then offered up a sympathetic smile. "Sorry about the nightmares, though," she offered. "That sucks."

Not that he noticed, or anything.
