Summer's Voicemail.
"Uh, yeah, this is Summer's voicemail. Who the hell calls people anymore? Just text me. But I guess if you insist on being weird and living in the dark ages, go ahead and leave me a message. And I'll text you back, like normal people do. Okay? Cool. I mean, the government is probably tapping all of our conversations anyway, but whatever."

And not for the reasons she might attempt to give Seivarden shit over, either.
Phones and outgoing, maybe even ingoing, messages are prbly screwing up. something is def happening rn.
She had no idea what, and that was driving her crazy, but she did know it was something

On the upside, it would mean Breq was likely ok, on the downside, something bad happening here wasn't good.

Thank you, Summer. Very helpful.
maybe shes just like busy u know?
Or maybe she decided she totally hated Seivarden and wanted nothing to do with her, but even with this awful feeling making her stomach clench (or maybe because of it), Summer was definitely not going to actually say that to Seivarden.
Especially not when she had her own mountain of people who probably hated her to deal with inside of her head right now.

Breq had said she hadn't sent Seivarden here to get rid of her, and Seivarden saw no reason why she would lie, but... maybe she did because she didn't want to have Seivarden come back and beg on her knees.
Are you suspecting anything?
Just generally. Preferably something that would distract Seivarden.

But then if something happened and she hadn't said anything, she'd feel awful about it.
So after thinking way too hard about it (what else was new?), she replied:
Yes. No idea what but there's def something. i mean 'tis the fucking season u know???

The reply came quickly.

Honestly, if there wasn't so much proof to back this up, Summer would definitely be accessorizing with a nice tinfoil hat right now.

Should she be concerned about Summer?

Not because she was thinking of what to say, though. In fact, it would seem she had too much to say, as she typed out various examples and scenarios highlighting how she was not okay, but ended up deleting all of them and trying something else. Everything from alien parasites installing false memories to trick them so they could eat their brains to the Galactic Federation to making a resurgence to everyone being robots to this definitely being the week that Barry was totally finally breaking up with her.
All typed out in detail.
All ultimately deleted.
And all she ended up sending was:
FINE. Totally fine! Y wouldn't I be?
With a crying laughing emoji
So...yeah. Pretty much yes. Yes. You should be, Seivarden.
Not that she imagined anyone would.

Are you sure? Do you need to talk?
Not that Summer usually confided in her, but since there was something going on - possibly - she was doing her best to be a good friend.

Then:
Actually, I'm not. But I have two boxes of arrack at home.
Then:
That was a joke.
Then:
Not that I have it, I mean.
