Sooooo, Summer had met Chiana, and, just as the narrative suspected, it was indeed a great/terrible idea. One that had lead to a little impromptu mini party for jello shots and space pot, which made sense, especially since Summer was the only terrestrial human of the small group this had been planned around.

So, within a few minutes, thanks to Barry's shot maker machine, they had some jello shots--nothing fancy, of course, you couldn't do much with the machine, but at least Stark would be way more confident that none of them had anything too weird in them? They also had some raslek, to make Chiana feel more at home and since Summer had started stocking it at the store, not to mention her vast and impressive array of pot from various different dimensions and planets.

Which, if you asked her, meant that if the night ended up being anything but awesome, it certainly wouldn't be on her.

Although it does come with a warning that it will be mostly played out tomorrow, because it is late, I am sick, but there is no way we could just let this go handwaved ]]

"I've been waiting for those," Chiana said, hopping up from where she'd been crouching to pet the cat. "I'm ready for ~~this jelly~~ my jello! And everything else. Even the munchies."

She, unlike some people here, had been known to engage in a little recreational drug use and not just alcohol.

She tugged Stark toward the couch. "You ready?"

He nodded, only a little hesitantly.

"So then it's just a matter," said Summer, the grin she was passing over to Stark slightly apologetic, but not really. He was going to enjoy this, once his reservations were put a little more at ease, "of which one you want to try first. Obviously, I made some with the raslak, but I've also got some nice, simple, traditional orange, lime, and blue raspberry. Some meiloorun because that's my favorite, and chai and pumpkin spices one, too, because we haven't had enough of those flavors this weekend yet, I am sure. And then pink lemonade, because that's just awesome."

Hey, just because she couldn't go all out on the flavors with the jello maker didn't mean she couldn't compensate for it in a different way!

"Those all sound safe," Stark said, sounding slightly relieved.

Chiana side-eyed him. "Your friends usually give you things that aren't?"

"No," Stark said hurriedly. "Blue for me, I think?"

Chiana gave him a soft smile at that, because he was predictable about colors most of the time, and then said "if the pink lemonade is 'awesome' I better try that, yeah? And the meiloorun?"

"I have a tendency," said Summer, grinning over at Chiana as she plunked the requested shots out of the pyramids to start distributing accordingly; Mr. PBH decided to forgo the jello shots and was fiddling with his lighter to get started on the smoking, "to put terrible things in jello. It's sort of one of my trademarks? Like, things that shouldn't be in jello. Some people get a kick out of it. Other people," she looked pointedly over at Stark, "not so much. That's what he means by 'safe.' He means I haven't put any tuna fish or olives or, like, garam masala in any of them, or anything this time."

"These look drad," Chiana said approvingly, picking up the pink one. She would like all the colors. "Taste good too!" Maybe she could bring jello shots to her end of the universe. For fun.

"You do this all the time? And Stark keeps coming back even with the terrible things?"

Stark just nodded and swallowed his own shots. He'd just be quietly grateful there was no tuna or shrimp or any other seafood involved.

"At least every Wednesday," Summer confirmed, with a nod, after knocking back one for herself and then trying to figure out which one to follow it up with. "Or mostly every Wednesday, sometimes somethings come up, but that's my bar night. It is infamous for my jello shots, and Stark just keeps coming back," she smirked a little, "because I don't Make him do the terrible ones. I am a kind and benevolent jello shot mistress."

Down went another shot.

"Mostly."

Chiana's eyebrows went up a little at that word choice and she smirked as she went for her own second shot.

"Only mostly a benevolent mistress?"

"She's my friend," Stark said, glancing between them and wondering yet again if he was making a terrible mistake this evening.

How could anyone take a look at this situation and everything it entailed and see anything but only the best decisions to be made?

Besides, Stark, they could have been having this conversation without you there to mitigate. Would that be better?

"Mostly mostly a benevolent mistress," she decided with a nod, and maybe a tilt of her head, a squint of her eyes, wondering if she should try to breakdown exactly why that particular emphasis on friend from Stark. "There are definitely some people who get surprise terrible shots, but they usually deserve it."

A slight pause as Mr. PBH passed the joint over to her.

"Or actually ask for them specifically."

There truly were all kinds.

Only the best choices for this crew. Always.

"I don't usually deserve it," Stark told Chiana.

"Usually," she said with a snort. Because she knew him.

"I don't ask for them. That's other people. There are odd people here." It was too bad Chiana wouldn't be around for classes this week. She might have had fun observing.

"You're here," Chiana pointed out.

"We're all here," said Summer.

Technically speaking, with this group, she was the odd one out, after all. And she took a few puffs from the joint Mr. PBH had passed her and then made a little impressed sound. "Oooh, thr indigo indica? Good choice, Mr. PBH!"

She dutifully passed it along to Chiana next. "This strain's actually from a dimension where there's no such thing as the color purple, until you smoke it, and then everything's purple. Which doesn't mean anything much for this dimension, but it's still dank as hell."

"Drad," Chiana said again. It was a very versatile word. "Nebari Prime is pretty drab. I wonder if it would work there? I'd get locked up for mind cleansing if I tried to bring it in, but..."

Maybe it would be worth it?

"Oh, nice," she said appreciatively after a few experimental puffs of her own. "Stark?"

Stark hesitated, then held out his hand. "Alright."

Don't mind Summer, watching with keen interest now that the pot had made its way around to Stark, because this was the first step toward answering a question that had been itching around inside her brain for a while now, but just never yet foind the right time to open that door.

So Chiana was instant on the high status list now for finally granting her this opportunity to potentially see what Stark was like when high.

"Soooo," said Summer, snagging another jello shot in the meantime, "while we're on the topic of space, what's it like where you're from, Chiana? Or is that a total bummer like Stark's backstory?"

Hopefully Summer was not creating a monster. Maybe just someone who would bake her special brownies?

"Frelling terrible world," Chiana said, watching Stark just as avidly. "All conformity all the time. Left as soon as I could. But maybe not quite so bad as Stark's."

"Still not good," Stark said, deciding he might as well take an experimental puff of his own.
