Room 204; Friday After Classes [09/15].
Summer was due for a quick weekend back home on her mom's request. Guess it was some sort of attempt to seem like a better mother in light of the divorce. Perhaps another Summer would have found it a pain in the butt, but this Summer was programmed to be glad for her mother's newly single status and would happily come home to praise her and soothe over the idea that something was wrong, that her children were in danger, that Rick was up to something. So she was singing that goddamn Ace of Base song again as she went to get her suitcase out from under her bed.
How had the damn thing wound up so far underneath her bed, anyway? It wasn't that long ago that she used it, but she supposed it just shifted deeper. She had to get on her stomach to reach under the bed, barely able to get it and pull it closer, and, as she did, she scraped her arm bad on some metal part of the bed frame, causing her to cry out in pain and sit back on the floor to see what the damage had been.
Surprisingly, there was very little blood. But the gash in her skin was significant, a piece of it hanging off just a small thread. She hissed through her teeth, wincing slightly as she tried to test if it would hurt if she pulled it off. And it peeled alright, and it didn't even really hurt, and she realized that underneath the skin, her eyes growing wider as the gash grew bigger, there wasn't muscle and blood and tissue at all, but a very fine network of what looked like wires and metal and computer chips.
"What. The. Hell."
Summer sat on the floor, staring at the new discovery, unsure of whether she should investigate further or just pretend she didn't see anything at all.
[[ door and post are open! Cut for mild body horror. Also, spoilers: this is robo!Summer's final Fandom post for the foreseeable future ]]

"Summer! Look, look!"
Maybe it could be an apology for attempting to exorcise her?

"Shiemi!" she nearly shrieked it, giving a panicked look around the room, all but diving for a sweater that was on the floor and tugging it over her head so that the long sleeves would cover up the peculiar wound on her arm. She chuckled nervously, turning back around and sitting on the floor with her back against her bed now, to look at Shiemi and her pillow tree harvest and hoping that the sheer plumpness of them impeded her view enough that she hadn't noticed anything.
"Oh, wow!" she gushed, hoping to deflect with enthusiasm. "Those look, like, so totally comfy! Nice picking!"

Shiemi's view was indeed obstructed! At least as to the finer details. She was kind of focusing on not tripping on anything, so all she'd seen was that Summer was in the room.
"It was like the tree grew them just for you." She came close enough that she didn't need to look so steadily at the floor and smiled at the other girl. "I just had to take them."

Where she would hopefully be able to ask her grampa about what the hell was going on with her arm!
Unless it was a Fandom thing? She bit her lip, paying undue attention to her roommate's arms now, too, and wondering if there was anything a bit more...robotic about them than normal.
"Uh, by the way, have you, like, noticed anything weird about today? Like, you know, totally Fandom weird? Like, people aren't turning into, like, robots or anything, that you've noticed, or anything?"
WHAT A TOTALLY NORMAL QUESTION.

"And no? No robots or anything. There were some gremlins in the vegetable patch when I got to the garden today?"

"That's a nice thought! I'll go back in a few moments." Shiemi nodded, then caught on to the fact that Summer was wearing a sweater. "Ano. Are you cold?"

"Not really?" Shiemi shook her head then made her way to the window to check the sill. "I could go find maintenance and have them check?"
