MHA #4; Saturday Morning [08/03].
The worst part about sleeping was eventually having to get up. And Summer, of course, had really wanted to sleep in. Being as popular as she was and everything, she'd had a wild night of partying yesterday, and she was probably going to have a pretty solid social life for the rest of the weekend. It was hard being so popular sometimes! But there was at least one good thing about waking up, and as she reluctantly felt herself slipping out of sleep, she wriggled a little with a pleased smile and went to turn over to reach over and touch--
Summer stopped. Her hand patted at the shape of the person in the bed next to her, as if to confirm that her eyes weren't just playing a trick on her, and then she was just confused.
"Wait," she said, wrinkling her nose a little. "You're not my girlfriend..."
That party last night must have been insaaaaaaane.
Summer was immediately turning back over to reach for the phone charging on the bedside table.
"Wait, this isn't even my phone."
She was, as it so happened, fully dressed, weirdly enough, and sat up while checking her back pocket and breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh, thank god," she said, and immediately started texting Christina to ask what happened last night and where was she and she didn't know where she was, she was just with some random guy with a mask? Yeah, right? Like totally weird. Do you think one of those other version of herself was somehow involved? Yeah, no, probably, ugh, why were other versions of her just the absolute worse??

"I thought she was cool long before we were sleeping together!" But after a moment Stark nodded. "Of course I'm biased. She's my Summer."

That would make that Summer pretty cool, actually.
But whatever. This Summer was too cool to waste her time thinking about the coolness of Summers who weren't her.
"Riiiiight," she said. "So...I guess will just...go, then?" She started to scoot her way put of the bed. "Until you figure out what happened to your girlfriend, or, like, I figure out how to get back to mine..."

"You can stay," Stark said. "It's Summer's apartment. I live upstairs. Number 8. This one is hers, and the cat's. Do you want me to feed the cat? Her name is Pancakes. I'll go. Upstairs."
He nodded mostly to himself as he started to get up himself and was grateful that this time he was more clothed than the last time he woke up with the wrong Summer.
"Although...it's early, I know, but if you'd like a drink..."

Well, okay. She looked like his girlfriend. That was fair. She was literally his type.
But he was definitely not hers.
Summer looked at Stark, then looked at her phone.
"Dude, it's not even noon."
And alcoholism didn't run in her family. Because her mom was actually allergic to the stuff! That was why Summer's life was so much more awesome!

"I know." But hey, mimosas with brunch were a thing!
"It's just a strange place, here, and you've come here unexpectedly, and sometimes having something can help. Or not. Sometimes food helps? The bakery is very good here, and the coffee shop if you need caffeine. Sorry. I didn't mean...I didn't mean anything by it. Although you do seem to be calmer about this. How many other Summers have you met?"
