MHA #4; Saturday Morning [11/18].
Summer was so excited, because she was back to that place where there was that cat and that cat...
...hated literally everything about this, but Pancakes was being very patient and even kind and maybe had been a Fandom CatTM long enough to know that this, too, shall pass, and when it did, Summer would likely make it up to her with some premium catnip, because, hi, like owner, like pet, apparently.
So she was going to just brace herself and bear having her hair constantly brushed and to having little fingers trying to tie ribbons and bows in it and even the indignity of having her claws painted (pink, of course, and so SPARKLY!!), especially since there was probably more nail polish ending up on the carpet than there were on her claws.
So have fun with that when the weekend was over, Summer!
"What do you think, Kitty? Should I do my nails, too? There's a lot of different pinks here, but I think maybe I might want to do something with turquoise, that'd be pretty, right?"
Pancakes let out a noncommittal, plaintive meow.
"Awwww, thank you, kitty! I agree! Also, you're my best friend now. I would have liked it better if you were a horse, but that's fine, cat best friends are pretty great, too."

It was totally because of her mother.
"But, since you know so much, Mr. Breakfast, what is my mother's name? And my dad? And my stupid baby brother's? Also, who names a cat Pancakes? Pancakes is a food, not a name."
She thought she was done, so there was a pause, before she then added, "Did you bring pancakes? Or can you make some? I might let you in if there were pancakes."

"And your father is Jerry and your grandfather is Rick and your brother is Morty and I didn't bring pancakes. I could get you some pancakes? Or...I guess I could make some...I haven't made pancakes in a long time."

And he'd, apparently, failed.
"Ehhhhhch!" said Summer, doing her best imitation of the most annoying game show buzzer in the world. "Wrong! My grampa's name is Leonard, I don't even know a Rick!"
He was, after all, Not to be Spoken Of at this point in her life.
"But," she allowed, "you did get everyone else, so if you come back with pancakes, you can come in."

Well, it was good to know that all this, apparently, started early, right?

But on pancake pizza? That just made sense!

Part of him was sure that Summer would be fine on her own because she was Summer even if she was tiny. Part of him was concerned though because she was tiny even if she was Summer.
