MHA #4; Sunday Morning [11/05].
So, last night, Stark had come over with a box of cookies from J,GoB, and it had completely ruined her entire day. Well, okay, not really, and, honestly, she would be the first to admit that she kind of deserved it, but there was no way anyone was going to show up to her place with Santa cookies that tasted like pumpkin and turkey-shaped cookies that tasted like peppermint and not suffer some kind of consequences.
The rest of the evening, then, was spent plotting her revenge (well, not entirely, but anyway), so in the morning, when she got up, she was ready to return the favor, gave him a kiss on the cheek and announced that she wanted to go make breakfast, but she wanted it to be a surprise. Naturally, Stark was immediately suspicious of this and asked if it was going to be a gross breakfast, but Summer just shrugged and batted her eyes sweetly at him and told him he'd have to wait and see.
A good deal later, after Summer had finished with the final touches and cleaned up a little to get rid of the evidence, and made sure there was some coffee ready, her voice called out with a sing=song, "Okay, Stark! It's ready!"
And then went to go grab the Eggo Sippin' Cream, because what was 'breakfast spaghetti' without a little boozy waffle drink to go with it??
[[ obviously for that alien who was horrifically modded ]]

She knew Stark didn't know her family nearly enough to realize just how convincing this explanation really was, but, you know what? That's what would hopefully make it so effective. Anyone who did know the Smiths intimately would hear that and immediately nod and think yeah, that tracks.

"Breakfast spaghetti," he repeated. "All right. Let's have breakfast spaghetti. I like spaghetti. And coffee?" The coffee smelled good.
no subject
She handed the platter out for him.
"Bring that over to the table, and I'll get the coffees?"
no subject
"I was expecting revenge. After the cookies. Not spaghetti and breakfast alcohol and coffee. Something gross."
no subject
no subject
"Thank you, for breakfast. Revenge-free breakfast. And coffee."
He was going to take a sip of the very sweet coffee now, and grin. "Very nice."
no subject
Even if she did literally just make it up last night when she was plotting her....not-revenge!

He was going to be shocked when he went to take a bite in a moment, but in a good way.

Forget the fact that weren't even remotely warm at all.

And...chewed it. And swallowed. And gave Summer a very odd look.
"You lied," he said in a tone of mock dismay. "It was cake!"
There was no other reasonable course of action here. He simply had to stand up and walk over to her chair to give her a kiss. What else could he do?
no subject
"It was cake!" she confirmed. "Pretty amaz--"
But she blinked, cutting herself off with surprise when Stark stood up, brows lifted to see what he was apparently going to do about it.
And when kissing her was what he was going to do about it, she couldn't help grinning smugly into that kiss.
"I figured," she said, "one good mindfuck deserved another."
no subject
He loved saying that, too.
"Perfect. Was it hard to make?"
no subject
She so did not need to go even remotely that hard!
no subject
All that because he'd brought her confusingly flavored cookies!
"Maybe we should have spaghetti, real spaghetti, for dinner? I can cook for you. If you want, later?"
no subject
"Yeah?" she asked. "You'll cook dinner tonight?"
no subject
He just really liked being together. Being here, with Summer, made him happy.

Also they should not watch Titanic, obviously.
no subject
At least it was in her version of it!

He took a bite of his fake spaghetti. "We can eat spaghetti and watch Spaghetti and rats. Cartoon rats? Or are they real ones?"
Look, he lived here. Actual rats in a movie that cooked wouldn't be that weird.
"We should try your 'breakfast booze' too."
no subject
"But, yeah, cartoon rats. It's animated. I think you'll like it, it's pretty cute."
no subject
No adorable cartoon raccoons for Stark! He might have to rethink his opinions on the animals.
"I think I will try the breakfast booze. Just to see how gross it really is. Should I get a glass? Or drink from the jar?"
What was the proper protocol for sippin' cream?
