So, Summer's loser ex-husband had shown up for a Parents Weekend, again. She didn't know why, she didn't know how (although she had some theories), but she did know that it was the last thing she wanted to deal with right now. Ugh! This was supposed to be a nice, carefree PW with no guests except other people's so she could just reconnect with previous visitors and maybe meet some new ones, and not have to deal with that one guy she married when she was seventeen because it was the apocalypse and her parents were getting a divorce.

Unfortunately, Hemorrhage knew where she lived, so she couldn't just hide out in her room all weekend, either. She'd have to find somewhere else to go, and the next possible thing that came to her mind was exactly one floor up and with a lock that she could practically pick in her sleep.

(She should maybe get her own key one of these days, but locking picking was a good way to work out some of her frustration).

And so now, in Stark's apartment, she was pretty much wearing out a line in his floor with pacing back and forth and trying to think of how best to take care of this situation and this asshole with a penchant for ruining her Parents Weekends.

Honestly, at this point, she'd almost wished she had gotten Rick instead.

Chiana's eyebrows were up and she was looking between Stark and Summer with an amused and suspicious look.

"She's what? You're what?"

Stark tried to ignore her, focusing on Summer instead.

"Do you want us to come with you?"

Summer was tempted to just throw out an answer of friend for Chiana, just to satiate that question that she had a feeling she was just going to keep asking, but then she'd probably have to deal with how Stark might react to that, and she had enough apparently ill-defined relationship drama to deal with at the moment. So she, too, feeling maybe just a little bad about it, also ignored Chiana to just focus on the drama at hand before letting any other drama seep in.

"No," she said, "it's fine, it's my problem, I'll handle it. I just...need to figure out what to say. Since, you know, apparently, 'hey, here's some divorce papers and I never want to see you again, byeeeeee' didn't get the message across last time."

"If you need help you know I'll help. Whatever you need," Stark told her, trying not to think too hard about Chiana's question. There wasn't a definitive answer, was there? They hadn't put a label on it.

Chiana noted the lack of answers and just nodded to herself.

Summer nodded a little, too. "I think," she ventured, "that I might just need to hide out up here tonight, and I'll try to figure shit out in the morning. And then those cupcakes we had planned will either be in celebration or just be desperately needed..."

"You can always stay here," Stark said quickly. "You know that. And Chiana can stay on the couch."

Did that clear anything up, Chiana?

"You sleeping on the floor, Stark?"
Apparently not.

"Nobody is sleeping on the floor," Summer insisted, because Stark started to get any ideas that he somehow should be, because...well, Stark.

Chiana smirked.

"That's what I thought," she said. "I frelling knew it."

Summer was quiet for a good, long moment in response to that, before setting the plate of food aside and getting up from the couch.

"Well!" she announced. "If I'm crashing here, I better at least make sure Pancakes has got enough food."

And then made no hesitation in heading back over to the door.

"Need an escort?" Chiana asked. Yes, she was still smirking. "Just in case?"

There was a pause, as Summer tried to quickly do the math on which scenario would be better between taking Chiana with her or leave her here with Stark...

"I think I'll be fine," she decided, after too many flashbacks of sending Stark and Morty out for ice cream so she could speak more privately with Zhaan and remembering how well that had gone.

Chiana's questions and comments would be far more entertaining than Zhaan's had been, though!

"Right. We'll be here when you get back."

And she could maybe ask Stark a few questions to make him squirm while they waited!
