MHA #4; Thursday [04/20].
Summer may give Apu a lot of crap all the time about his random holidays celebrated on very specific days, but there was one of those holidays that Summer herself celebrated with even more religiosity than the actual religious holidays out there, and this year was absolutely no exception.
It was practically a ritual, by now, and Summer had absolutely saved some of her best weed, of both terrestrial and space varieties, for this honored occasion, and she'd also scored some pretty dank catnip for Pancakes. A few select edibles to space throughout the day, a veritable smörgåsbord (and the promise of cupcakes later!!) for when the inevitable munchies kicked in, and a whole day of just blazing up, getting high as balls, and not worrying about anything but just straight vibing.
It was a good day. She had been looking forward to this day. And while she definitely just got high because she fucking liked being high, okay, there was the added bonus of this particular 4/20 being especially well-timed.
[[ open, open, open, if anyone wants to swing by and help celebrate, although I am almost definitely going to be on some SP shit. And of course, CW for continued drug use throughout the post, because, well...it's THAT day and I am legally obligated to have her make the most of it ]]

"Oh, shit, yes."
Just as she suspected, or perhaps because she remembered they were coming, but cupcakes sounded sooooooo amazing right now, so she took a moment to right herself to her feet, taking a moment to just sort of sway and get her bearing, before she went to open the door with a bright, triumphant, "Cupcakes!"
She had considered it might be someone else, of course, but it wasn't, she was right, and even though her eyelids seemed incapable of lifting high (heh) enough to truly convey the wide-eyed excitement she felt, they were definitely shining eagerly through all the red lacing them.
"Hello, Stark," she greeted, stepping back now to let him in. "You're seriously right on time."
no subject
Stark held them out for inspection as he walked in.
"Are you alright?"
no subject
"Oh. My. Goooood," she gushed, reaching out to take them so she could really inspect them. "These. Looks. Amazing. The worms! You did gummy worms, that's perfect, these are amazing, Stark. You're amazing. I am going to absolutely destroy these."
But, apparently, she was going to at least set them down on her table and pull put her phone to take a picture or five first.
"Bixby and Cass would've looooooved these."
no subject
He was absolutely beaming at having been called amazing. And at Summer seeming so happy and relaxed.
"I'm glad you like them. Even if you want to destroy them." He knew what she meant. He was just very pleased with the reaction.

The impromptu photoshoot over, Summer started scrolling through her contacts for a good few seconds before realizing that, no, actually, she couldn't just send her fake children the picture because they didn't exist in this dimension, and then she needed a moment to just sort of marvel at the idea that she really should have gotten Cass' phone number, she sent texts between dimensions all the time, but it didn't seem like it would be that easy, ugh, they would probably be portal blocked, that would make sense, god, portal blocks were so annoying, but also maybe kind of good, because without them, they wouldn't have Gladio, and mmmmmm, Gladio. Also, man, she was hungry, but hey, there were cupcakes!
Now that she was back full-circle, she blinked a little and grinned over at Stark. "You going to have some, too? Please do not leave me alone with all of these, I will not hold back, and there will be regrets. Also, I still have a ton of weed, there's no way even I can smoke all this all by myself, although I will try. Honestly, though, you're definitely already just hotboxing it just by being in here right now, so might as well go big or go home, right, bro?"
no subject
"Of course I'll have a cupcake with you." More than one, probably.
"Wait, what's hotboxing? And...I only ever did that the once. With you and Chiana...I don't know if I should..."
What if he got too relaxed and said something unfortunate? Or got too relaxed and did something not unfortunate but that might cause regrets later?
"Maybe?"
no subject
With that, she finished both explanation and post, pressed send, and set down her phone to finally replace it with a cupcake.
"And why shouldn't you?" she asked, plucking off a worm from her cupcake and popping it into her mouth, then starting to pull back the paper. "It's 4/20, my dude, you should totally celebrate with me, especially if you're already here. I mean...unless you have something better to do.
That pause was filled with a look that made it clear that Summer knew he had nothing better to do.
And then all bets were off, because she punctuated it with a bite of the cupcake, and then absolutely melted with a groan and a mouth-full mutter of "ohmygod," and that first look was replaced with one letting Stark know that these cupcakes were so unfair, but she was already licking the icing off her thumb with another succinctly approving, "fuck."
no subject
And then Summer had to go and groan and lick her thumb and he was absolutely not leaving now.
"Are they that good? I'll stay. You know I'm always happy to stay with you."
no subject
"But..." Here she paused for a bit, not only for another bite, but to chew it, and swallow it, "if you're going to stay, you better get smoking because you have got a lot of catching up to do. Come on."
She picked up her phone and grabbed the container of cupcakes, and swept toward the living room without even bothering to see if he'd follow.
(She had no doubt in her mind that he would follow).
no subject
"I'm glad you like them." As if Stark hadn't made them with her in mind. This was a far better reception than he could have hoped for though.
"And...I could smoke. I suppose. I'm already here and it was fine the last time..."
no subject
"I mean," she said, "you don't have to, if you don't want to, I just figured, you know..."
no subject
Chronically nervous, basically.
"We should. I should. I did...I did like being so relaxed last time. With you. And Chiana. And we said we ought to try again, didn't we? So we should. And eat cupcakes. And... relax."
no subject
Especially not when it was going so nicely by herself.
no subject
"I do want to. With you."
no subject
"Good," she sat down on the couch and leaned over the table and her neatly little pre-arranged joints to pluck one up, "because, clearly you could really fucking use it."
no subject
"Am I meant to take my own?"
no subject
She was definitely taking a big first draw from it after she lit up before passing it over, though. Had to make up for that little dip there.
"You remember how?"
no subject
Maybe actually always? But that was a lot of pressure to put on someone.
"I think I can remember," he said, smiling over at her and reaching for the joint. "If not, I'm sure you'll remind me."
no subject
And then she'd reach for her phone, to skip ahead to a new song.
no subject
no subject
"Slow, Stark," she teased, "not glacial, got it?"
no subject
"I don't want to do it wrong."
Don't be disappointed in him, Summer. He was a fragile glowy boy!
