somethingwithturquoise | MHA #8; Late Thursday Morning [03/23].

Welp. Summer had sort of figured she'd moved on from this stage of the break-up recovery progress, but, considering she was waking up on her own accord, not by the sound of her alarm or by a cat insisting that she'd spent the entire night starving to death, or even in her own bed...apparently not! Nor had very much sleeping been had, either, since she was being nudged out of sleep while still feeling very tired, and, admittedly, very comfy.

There were...probably a lot of things about this that she should probably be unpacking a little, and examining, and dissecting, but, in that moment of barely-awake still-sleepiness, but, in that moment, all that she wanted to register was that she felt really good about it right now, and that there was someone else still in the bed with her (the fact that that person just so happened to be Stark again was one of those things To Be Unpacked much, much later), and that she was going to just turn and shift until she was stealthily snuggling into that other person (as if maybe they wouldn't notice), to be just that slight extra bit more comfy with a soft, contented sound and her mind already slipping toward getting back to more sleep.

Wiggling was simply unfair and Stark could not be held responsible for the tiny groan that escaped him before he looked at her, holding her gaze, and repeated "You give very good advice."

The grin on Summer's face was smug, satisfied, and triumphant as she just sort of...basked in that, a little.

"Goddamn right I do."

"Wonderful advice," Stark added before deciding that smug grin was simply begging for more kisses.

He did pause long enough to ask "do you have any more advice to offer today?"

Well, if there was going to be more kissing, there was going to be more wiggling, as Summer shifted around a little to put herself in an optimal position for them, leaning into him with a hand lightly against his chest.

A thoughtful, considering hum at the question, though, eyes closed as she contemplated it before lightly shaking her and looking at Stark again. "You seem to be doing pretty okay on your own so far....at the moment."

"I'm trying," Stark assured her. "To do better."

He let out a soft sigh and closed his own eye for a moment before looking back at her.

"But I'm always ready to listen to your advice. Or anything else you might want to say. About anything."

He was good at listening and he was good at taking direction. He was also very happy, right now, to go along with any suggested activities that might not involve any talking at all.

"And what if," asked Summer, after a long moment of just looking at Stark ans trying her best to sort through all the different thoughts that were colliding in her head right now, most of which she was trying to nudge aside and just ignore, "I don't really have anything to say?"

Yeah, yeah, not fucking likely, but not the point!

"Then I'm still very happy to just lay here with you. Be here with you," Stark said softly, fingers gone back to playing with her hair. "You don't have to say anything at all."

That didn't seem likely but it could happen.

Hell, even in that moment, there were a lot of things Summer could say. There were quite a few things she probably should be saying, too. But, in that moment, she couldn't bring herself to say any of them. All she could do, it seemed, was scoot up a little closer to closer her eyes and kiss him again, so that she wouldn't say any of it.

She just wasn't ready, for any of that right now, so might as well just shove it aside, let her therapist deal with it later.

Words could wait, for now. Sometimes words only made things more complicated. Stark's feelings were already complicated enough.

So he just smiled into that kiss. "You don't have to do that either," he murmured against her lips. "But I won't complain."

"I don't know," said Summer, grinning right back. "Kinda sounds like a complaint to me. I can stop, though, if you want..."

With a very slow move to pull away...

"No," Stark said quickly, his other arm coming up to hold her very firmly in place. "Please don't do that. I don't want that at all. I want..."

"I want you to stay right there. Right here. Here is very good."

He shifted a little so he could hook his leg around hers. "Right. Here. Unless you have another suggestion?"

Summer had been hoping for....expecting, really...that arm to go around her and pull her back in, but the extra hook with his leg was a pleasantly surprisingly addition that send a flutter through her chest and a hand curling at Stark's shoulder, the thrilled delight over it evident in the bright shine of her eyes. Grinning, she shook her head. "Nope," she said. "I like here. Right here is pretty fucking good right now."

Stark made a very pleased noise before tightening his hand in her hair, just slightly, and kissing her once more.

"I like you right here too."

Just in case that wasn't abundantly clear.

Summer hummed into the kiss with her own pleased sound at that just slightly tightening hand in her hair.

"Right here?" she checked, grinning as she kissed Stark again, slow and dragging but eager, until she pulled away to tilt her head enough to land the next kiss on his jawline.

"Or here?" She murmured she question before her lips moved again to bury the next kisses into his neck, working their way to that small earlobe she'd bitten the night before and catching it between her teeth again.

Stark breathed in sharply, tightened his grip in her hair again and then hissed out her name.

"I like right there even better," he managed to say. "I like you everywhere. Anywhere."

"Everywhere, huh?" asked Summer, with a grinning echo whispered directly into his ear, and a small, strategic flick of her tongue. "I better get started, then."

So her lips went back to his neck, traveling down to his throat, doing what they could to seek out the softest, most tender parts to gently suck at and lightly sink her teeth into.

Or, well, maybe not so gently and lightly, depending on how that went over.

It went over very well indeed if that slightly breathless "please" Stark let out was anything to go by.

He wasn't relaxing his hold on her anytime soon but he tilted his head to offer as much of it as possible to her, wondering if he ought to offer to undo the strap around his neck as well.
