"Uh, yeah, this is Summer's voicemail. Who the hell calls people anymore? Just text me. But I guess if you insist on being weird and living in the dark ages, go ahead and leave me a message. And I'll text you back, like normal people do. Okay? Cool. I mean, the government is probably tapping all of our conversations anyway, but whatever."

Summer was a little bit tempted to tease Stark a little about being surprised that anything she'd be involved in would end up being pink, but, well, she knew there was a whole lot more to it than that. And honestly? She kind of liked that she could still manage to surprise him, apparently, even with what felt like the most obvious thing.

good. looking forward to seeing it on you in person tomorrow. ur going to come down and pick me up so we can go together right?

She had assumed that was a given, but this was Stark, and she realized it probably didn't hurt to make sure that didn't fall through the cracks of Stark's chronic not-wanting-to-assume-ing.

A whole pink suit was something entirely new and very different from a pink shirt or a pink pair of board shorts.

Summer bit her lip a little, an idea filtering through her head, clashing up against the thoughts that had Stark going home by himself the night before.

Stark was that really a wise question? Really?

And Summer hesitated, some of the things from last night parading through her head with their lofty notions and sound advice, and...

...she decided to ignore all of then.

This was not the most compelling argument, no.

And then Summer just blinked at that response and sighed.

Maybe Stark didn't realize he'd just screwed up, again. Or maybe he was still thinking of things unsaid yesterday and trying to give everyone an out. Or maybe he was genuinely concerned about what might happen to their formal wear.

They wouldn't be wearing it tonight! The formalwear would not be in any danger until tomorrow!
