Summer's 21st Birthday Portal Pub Crawl Mega-Post! Saturday Night [06/19].

Considering that Summer had first hatched this idea all the way back in March and even got a few of the wheels in motion for it back then, it was almost a little hard to believe that it was finally here (with a...few hitches and drama here and there, but what would a Summer party be without some drama attached, right?), it was finally her birthday and it was finally her twenty-first. Most young women in her position might plan for a big night with a few bars to really work the fact that they were finally twenty-one to the bone, but most young women didn't have easy portal access and a whole country pretty much at their wily little now-legal fingertips.

Starting, of course, with that old chestnut that supported not only her underage drinking habits but also her bank account, in the place that made most of this possible, Fandom Island's own Caritas! Summer was, of course, bringing jello shots, but don't expect to stay too long, because it wouldn't take much time for their first portal to be ready, and then it's off for a very long, very rambling, cross-country night that, probably by bar five, Summer probably won't remember anyway! Good thing she had plenty of mostly-sober friends who could maybe record some of it for posterity and memory's sake!

if you're 21 and older and/or not a student, and you've ever breathed in the same air in a close proximity to Summer, she's probably extended an invitation to you, so feel free to jump in. The Caritas post when it goes up can also be great for recruitment!

All the stops outside of Fandom except for the Baltimore bar and Lucifer's club are in Summer's dimension, as well, which has been invaded by aliens a few times and is used to weird shit, so any non-standard-human traits would not raise any eyebrows if there's any concerns there!

Lemme know if there's any questions, everything but Caritas and the Devil's Nest NFB for distance, obviously, and I spent way too much time on this, this is my life ]]

It took another moment or two, but then the champagne fountain was officially in hands of the people.

Lucifer slipped nimbly through the crowd to where he'd seen her last. "Octavia?"

Octavia was still there - more or less, anyway. The champagne fountain had made the crowd a little more rowdy, and therefore a little more restless.

"Yeah," she said, stepping past a person or two, and up to him. "Hi."

"You came."

Don't sound so surprised, Luce.

"Don't sound so surprised."

He had every reason to sound surprised.

"You were going to stay home and read," Lucifer reminded her, sliding his arms over her shoulders.

"And I did," Octavia replied lightly, looking up at him. "And then I finished my book."

And somehow found herself in this jumpsuit.

"I'm glad you did," Lucifer said, and kissed her.

She didn't really need to say any of the quips she'd thought up, anyway.

Octavia kissed him back, just a little more freely than she might have in most public settings. There was no alcohol in her system, but she was bolstered by the crowd.

Anonymity was a drug of its own kind.

Lucifer smiled into the kiss.

And milked it for all it was worth, because he was flying high on the crowd tonight and she was beautiful.

Octavia had to break it off for air eventually. But she sounded a bit breathless as she asked, "Miss me?"

So that was something.

"Always," Lucifer said.

Stupid smiling at her. He couldn't stop himself.

It wasn't as obvious, but Octavia's lips were curving again, too.

"Have you still had fun?" she teased, in a low rasp.

"Absolutely," Lucifer said. "Miss Smith throws one Hell of a birthday bash, and I'd know."

His hands slid down to her hips.

Octavia's own arms slid over his shoulders, now. Could do that here in the crowd.

"Good."

"We may have to abscond with Duke soon, however," Lucifer said, faintly amused. "I'm a bit afraid we might have to pluck his sleeping arse out of a dumpster later otherwise."

Octavia snorted softly, looking into the crowd to see if she could spot where Duke was right now.

"He's gone that far into it, huh?"

"I didn't want to stop him, he seemed to be enjoying himself," Lucifer offered.

Octavia gave him another one of those lopsided tiny smiles as her eyes returned to his face.

"As long as he's a happy drunk, it's okay."

"He'll regret it terribly tomorrow, of course," Lucifer added, smiling back at her.

Octavia shrugged a little. "Nothing's without consequences."

"True," Lucifer said. He kissed her again, just because he could. "Enjoying the ambiance?"

"It's okay," Octavia replied.

There was something faintly joking, faintly teasing about it.

"Better now that you're here."

"How long have you been here?" Lucifer asked.

"Maybe about an hour?"

She hadn't really looked at the time enough to know for sure.

"Lying in wait for us all this time?" Lucifer teased.
