somethingwithturquoise | Summer's 21st Birthday Portal Pub Crawl Mega-Post! Saturday Night [06/19].

Considering that Summer had first hatched this idea all the way back in March and even got a few of the wheels in motion for it back then, it was almost a little hard to believe that it was finally here (with a...few hitches and drama here and there, but what would a Summer party be without some drama attached, right?), it was finally her birthday and it was finally her twenty-first. Most young women in her position might plan for a big night with a few bars to really work the fact that they were finally twenty-one to the bone, but most young women didn't have easy portal access and a whole country pretty much at their wily little now-legal fingertips.

Starting, of course, with that old chestnut that supported not only her underage drinking habits but also her bank account, in the place that made most of this possible, Fandom Island's own Caritas! Summer was, of course, bringing jello shots, but don't expect to stay too long, because it wouldn't take much time for their first portal to be ready, and then it's off for a very long, very rambling, cross-country night that, probably by bar five, Summer probably won't remember anyway! Good thing she had plenty of mostly-sober friends who could maybe record some of it for posterity and memory's sake!

if you're 21 and older and/or not a student, and you've ever breathed in the same air in a close proximity to Summer, she's probably extended an invitation to you, so feel free to jump in. The Caritas post when it goes up can also be great for recruitment!

All the stops outside of Fandom except for the Baltimore bar and Lucifer's club are in Summer's dimension, as well, which has been invaded by aliens a few times and is used to weird shit, so any non-standard-human traits would not raise any eyebrows if there's any concerns there!

"I'm at Lux!" Lucifer agreed. "I have missed this place."

“Awwww.” Duke went to give him a big sloppy kiss on the cheek. “You love your club.”

"I do, it's true," Lucifer said, slinging an idle arm around his shoulders. "Did I ever show you the crack where Ava Gardner threw a scotch glass at Frank Sinatra?"

"Nuh uh!" Duke patted him on the chest. "Shoooow meeee!"

"All right, then," Lucifer laughed, and maneuvered Duke so they could have a good view of the mirror at the back wall. "There." He pointed. "She had quite a mean pitch on her."

"Ooooo, I bet. I'da liked to see her mean arms. And shoulders. And body. . . ."

"She was a looker in her day," Lucifer said fondly.

He wasn't drunk. This was not going to prevent him from nuzzling Duke's cheek.

Sorry, everyone else.

Duke closed his eyes with a happy hum. “I love you.”

He was maybe a little bit of a college co-ed when he got this drunk.

Well. At least Duke was probably too drunk to register that brief moment of hesitation there.

"You are very drunk," Lucifer said, amused, once that moment was up. "I'm going to take you home and tuck you in."

He pressed a kiss against Duke's cheek.

He wasn’t going to remember any of this later.

“That sounds amaaaazing.”

Lucifer laughed. "I'll bet it does," he teased. "It's a miracle you're still upright."

“I am,” Duke said with great solemnity, “a miracle man.”

"You are not," Lucifer informed him, "For which I'm grateful. I've got enough miracles in my life as it is."

“Okay.” Duke nodded. And swayed slightly. “But I am a magic man. Try, try, try to understand, I'm a magic man. . . .”

"Didn't we decide hours ago that magic was pretentious?"

Lucifer was not working hard to contain his mirth, no.

“Not when it’s real.”

"Hm-hm, and so what kind of magic do you do?" Lucifer, stop grinning.

“You know,” Duke said. “With th’ blood. And with sex but that’s the pretentious kind.”

"And yet I prefer the kind with sex," Lucifer said. His arm slid away from Duke's shoulders and around Duke's waist.

Largely to make sure he didn't fall over.

Duke took it as a snuggle and smiled. “Me too. My real magic suuuuuuuucks!”

"It does, and you don't deserve it," Lucifer agreed.

(It was totally a snuggle too.)

"Though honestly, I wouldn't call it your real magic. It's just whatever nonsense your bloodline bestowed on you."
