Gazorpazorp; Andromeda Galaxy; Dimension FH-001. Saturday [12/26].
Sure, Summer could have totally have just made or arranged a direct portal from SIlver Springs to Gazorpazorp, but where was the fun in that? Besides, her first ship had been of Gazorpian make, so she knew that arriving in a ship like her current one would be appreciated, and, hello, if you had the chance to take a friend for an extraneous flight in your spaceship, you took it. After all, what was the point of a shopping trip in space without the space part?
Well, there were a lot of other reasons Summer wanted to take this shopping trip with Roxie this weekend, but she wouldn't deny that getting to show off a bit was one of them.
Besides, while Gazorpazorp was an extremely problematic planet overall, it looked cool AF approached from space. And it didn't take long at all for Summer's experience with the culture ("Auxillery Starfighter from Milky Way Galaxy, requesting access and here if you need talk" as well as a cute Marc Jacobs top but obviously not the same Marc Jacobs top as last time) to grant her access into the underground city and find a good parking spot.
"Just remember," she reminded Roxie as she started the shut down procedures, "once we leave the ship, we have to pass the Bechdel test with flying colors like our lives depended on it, because, like, it literally could."

“Wait. So how does that work? Do we sit in a room for five minutes to make sure we don’t talk about boys or is it the entire time we’re on the planet?” Roxie asked looking amused. “Not that I don’t mind avoiding the talk about the men in our lives. They have overblown egos as it is.”
At least for Jeremy.
“Doesn’t matter. I want to find out more about you anyway. Barry has told me some things but there’s something to be said about a day of shopping and drinks afterwards that tells you want you need to know about someone.”

Like Summer could ever not seize an excuse for shopping,
She grinned over at Roxie. "Ready to shop until we literally drop, which will be totally divine because they have got the softest, comfiest sofas around here for exactly that purpose?"
no subject
“Sounds fantastic!” Roxie replied as she leaned back in her seat. “Not going to lie. When I heard there was a place I could pick up clothes to wear that didn’t have to be altered or specialty ordered? I was ready to skip Christmas and fast forward to today. Being 7 feet tall might sound like fun but not when it comes to clothes shopping. Where did you find this place anyway?”

Roxie laughed pretty hard at that. And then ended it with a long sigh. “And I thought my life was weird,” she said with a smile. “You don’t know how nice it is to have a woman I can talk about weird shit with. I mean I can talk about it with the guys but they don’t get it. And the one girl that does know about the weird stuff refuses to talk about it.”

"That said," Summer grinned at Roxie before reaching down to grab her purse between the seats which, "let's go extend your wardrobe some amazing new clothes almost entirely devoid of the influence of the male gaze."

“That sounds-“
Roxie’s eyes suddenly lit up as she started to follow Summer out of the spaceship. “Wait! Does this place have jeans with actual pockets?” She asked suddenly full of hope. “The kind where I could actually put a set of keys in them? Or something more than just a quarter?”
no subject
"Actually?" Summer realized now that she was thinking about it. "I haven't really noticed a lot of jeans on Gazorpazorp at all. Their style is definitely along the lines of women dressing for other women and looking all cute for each other with dresses and stuff, but you can guarantee all of those dresses have pockets."
And everyone got super excited about it literally every time.
We're not telling you what to do, the voice over the PA continued, We're just sharing how we feel.
"And they still, like, totally have a whole Department of Purses and Chocolate, which is under the umbrella of their Ministry of Accessories."

"I'm liking this place more and more," Roxie said with a grin. "Though if I could find one pair of jeans that didn't look like capris or they shrunk in the wash, I'd be in heaven. But hey, I've never been here so you show me the way."
no subject
"Hey," said Summer, with a laugh as she looked down at her own ubiquitous white pants that went with literally everything, so... "What's wrong with capris? But I get that, and that totally helps narrow it down a little--
"I'm here if you need to talk," she interrupted herself serenely in response to a pair of looming, six-armed Gazorpian women who passed by in a friendly exchange of greeting, before continuing with what she'd been saying.
"--hunting down where we might be able to find pants that aren't just seriously the most comfortable yoga pants imaginable that you will basically just want to completely live in for pretty much ever."
no subject
"Yeah. Okay. Fuck jeans, let's get to the yoga pants," Roxie said looking around at all the alien women walking around. "And no digs on capris. I just would once like to wear something that covered my ankles. Do you have any favorite places around here?"
no subject
"I actually haven't really spent a lot of time here?" Summer admitted, with maybe a touch of sheepish ness. "So it's hard to really pick a favorite." And current circumstances definitely would make the Cuddle Pile just a bit awkward. "But they do have a place that does PSL all year round. And I would be shocked if we couldn't find some boba around here. We totally need to get boba."
