Summer was honestly feeling so glad that next year was a milestone birthday that she already had something very simple but important planned, because this one was just stressing her out way too much. Which was dumb, because she shouldn't have to impress anyone on her birthday, but she still, you know, wanted to impress people and no one wanted to be known as the girl with the lame birthday party, and it would be kind of hard to beat a party planet party next year, anyway, but that was, like, a problem for 21-year-old Summer, because the newly minted 20-year-old Summer was just going to let lose and really enjoy the fruits of poor, sad 19-year-old Summer's hard work, dedication, and social anxiety.

Because it was a party planet. And there was no moping allowed. Anyone who gets caught moping gets immediately spaced.

(Not really, because getting spaced was fucking brutal, but whatever, just have fun or something, it's not that hard).

Naturally, Summer would have chosen a place called the Pink Room for the main hub of the festivities, which was one of the many, many great venues scattered throughout the planet, involving a very large to space to accomodate a variety of different sized and shaped alien species to dance the night away on a pink-and-glitter specled dance floor underneath an impressive dome of the sky filled with stars and laser lights and passing ships and aereal species (it gets really awkward when drunk Gromflomites smash into the dome, though).

There is absolutely a special VIP space corded off for the Smith party to just chill and hang out in, too, because, duh, obviously there would be.

Nearly every single bartender at the busy bar in the Pink Room has multiple arms, making serving all those drinks easy, unless you're poor Brad with just the Two Arms, why do you even try, Brad?

Anyway, if you'd rather just chill out at the bar, that's not a terrible idea, because Summer did cave in and sell out to have Shunsui finance this thing (because party planets got expensive, y'all), so just put it on the Smith party tab.

But be warned. Summer wasn't joking when she said that about half the stuff available behind the bar wasn't actually fit for human consumption.

Because there's all sorts of music from all different areas of the galaxy and plenty of unique moves to try to pick up from the variety of party-people, from that flock of teenaged female Gazorpians on holiday or those Gear People who will totally find it offensive if you refer to what they were doing as 'the Robot.'

And you know, dance threads always get used, right?

Of course there's a karaoke room.

How could there not be a karaoke room?

And the song list is extensive, TRUST, but Get Schwifty is very expressly banned.

A.W.K. 420:69 really does have something for everyone, and Summer made sure to capitalize on that by getting one of the Spa Rooms booked, too, because it's going to be a long night, you guys, and this way, you can recharge and get your nails done by some of the best nail technicians this side of the horsehead nebula, get a massage from someone who is literally just a hand (and Hands knew massages, okay?), and it's one of the few places in the galaxy where you can actually get a Kalaxian Crystal bath.

Right next door to the venue is a Blips and Chitz arcade, as well, so, you know, basically an overblown space version of Dave & Busters. So come on over and play some weird space video games, including the ever popular Roy: A Life Well Lived and a new state-of-the-art flight simulator, and earn some tickets and tokens that you might be able to exchange for some cheap piece of plastic or old ass candy at the end of the night!

Because it's a party planet in a universe that has literally everything, from a planet filled entirely with things on cobs to an entire dimension with hamsters living in people's butts. And the planet it entirely at your disposal, so feel free to make your own fun and create your own threads here, too.

Just in case anyone's a total nerd (that Summer will adore because ohmygod) who brought presents.

Summer Smith will be the eventual cause of my OCD death.

But seriously, it's a crazy party planet, please feel free to mod whatever ridiculousness you'd expect on a party planet. If you're feeling brave, you can always search the Rick & Morty wiki for ideas, but I will admit that's a dangerous rabbit hole, but anything goes in R&M, so the same applies for anything in the R&M universe.

I've got saddled with an early shift today, so I'll try to ping when I can and hope it doesn't kill my brain for later, but apologies in advance for SP because my life can never keep up with Summer's desperate need for a social life.

Lucifer loved VIP spaces, had he ever mentioned that?

It was also a fantastic distraction from his general state of irritation over both Octavia and Portalocity, so you bet your ass he draped himelf over a seat in said VIP space and immediately asked for something strong.

Bourbon? Bourbon had been a while.

What did Summer like? Lucifer hadn't a bloody clue, except that giving her jello felt both on the nose and cheap.

... which is why he left her an extremely expensive-looking, diamond-encrusted bottle of tequila, obviously. I ordered this through the Devil's Nest, so if you drink it at the club, we can both have a good laugh at Eric's expense.

Happy birthday. The future humiliation of Eric is part of the gift.

Amaya might have felt a bit awkward and out of place in this fancy space party venue if she was the sort to be bothered by that sort of thing these days, which she wasn't, and so she was mostly just sort of along for the ride.

And looking dubiously into the flagon of drink she'd gotten that had been recommended by the bartender with just the two arms, because there was smoke coming off of it, and, in her experience, any drink you drunk with smoke coming off of it was likely just about the last drink you'll drink ever...

Seivarden had dressed up for the occasion, despite suspecting that if the partying turned out the way she expected it to, the suit and gloves would be ruined. That was because she made an effort, Summer.

She found a drink, and a seat, and glanced around the place.

Seivarden had debated with herself what kind of present to buy. Her first idea had been something silly and jello-related, the second something cat-related since they both had cats.

In the end she had decided to take it seriously, since Summer was making an effort to help her get home. She couldn't just ignore that.

She was happy to ignore that she actually sort of considered Summer as a friend.

So she had brought a small, pink box with a pale green ribbon, decorated with a pink carnation.

Sure, Tisarwat was from space, but Radch space was almost nothing like this....

...granted, that was because whatever actual biodiversity existed in the empire was systematically suppressed or eradicated as the Radchaai swept through the whole galaxy to make it their own, but still!

This was both fascinating and impressive, and Tisarwat was definitely going to blame Seivarden and Amaya's silly class that morning for the fact that her brain couldn't help thinking about just how much there was to suppress or eradicate in Summer's galaxy....

The booze wasn't that bad, either.

Yes, Shunsui knew he'd only been invited because Summer-chan needed a financier for her little birthday soiree, and, yes, he knew she would be more than okay if he'd just fluttered off and was 'creepy and flamboyant' elsewhere because she's said exactly as much, but it would just be rude to not spent at least a little bit off time in the company of the woman of the hour and her other guests before going around and getting a good feel for the place.

Because he certainly had seen a blue woman with five breasts, and he had questions...but the night was still quite young.

And also, apparently, space sake was a thing.

And also, ~~lastly~~, there was a small gaggle of human young women in the VIP section that no one was likely to recognize (plus one small yellow guy with a very tall top hat), because Summer's friends from back home were able to make it, too, and they had clustered together in a little gossiping circle, just as you'd expect from Summer's friends from back home, though there were significant pauses of glaring that went on whenever a Gromflomite passed by.

Look, you didn't just take over someone's whole planet and not have there be some bad blood left over.

"Mr. Morningstar." Summer, at one point, had stopped flitting around like she'd been snorting the crystals in the spa long enough to socialize and check in with her guests and attempt to quell the voice in her head that kept saying this was all a disaster, and lifted her long champagne flute of something pink and sparkly and faintly glowing at him in greeting. "Enjoying the party planet this far?"

"It is rather delightfully extravagant, from what little I've seen of it thusfar," Lucifer said merrily. "Happy birthday, by the way. Excellent job getting this thing organised."

Seivarden sat down next to him. "In case you wondered, this is nothing like where I'm from."

"Please don't drink that," Seivarden said, reaching out to take the drink from her. "I don't think it's for humans."

"She's really got the colour scheme right," Seivarden said, looking down into her drink suspiciously.

"I didn't get a chance to tell you earlier," said Summer at one point as she made the rounds, "you actually look somewhat nice today."

Which was Summer's way of saying that she saw the effort, Seivarden, and she appreciated it, and this was her expressing that without it being, you know, weird.

She, for the record, looked absolutely adorable in a lavender party dress and apropos birthday tiara, natch.

"Thank you," Seivarden said, with a small smirk so as to not make it weird. "Interesting place. Which drinks are reasonably safe?"

"Too bad," Lucifer said, grinning. "It looks like it could be a delightful orgy planet after hours."
