"It was an eternity," Stark insisted but there was no heat in the statement. Just a faint grin that was quickly kissed away.

"I'll try," he said. "To ask for things. If I think of it. I just...don't always."

And, of course, sometimes Stark was just overwhelmed by the fact that he was incredibly lucky to be anywhere near Summer's bed and worried he shouldn't do anything to make her regret her choices that led to him being there.
